ParticipantYou may be able to find my post about the pitfalls of having a person that leans the opposite way because they get scared. They should be on you like a backpack. You will feel every movement they make. They have to stick to you and do exactly what you do, no less, no more.

ParticipantI don’t think it is a requiremnet but a preference for track bikes. The reason being that it is harder to upshift in the middle of a turn or something like that. Now we have to adjust our advice to you. To emergency stop, pull in the clutch, squeeze the front brake, apply pressure to the rear brake and upshift. That just sounds weird. wait, does upshift refer to the number or does it refer to the movement of the foot?
Now you have gone and got used to riding that way and you are doomed to ride motoGP.

ParticipantYou may want to switch your shift pattern back to original, unless there is a specific reason you changed it in the first place.

ParticipantHere is streetview of the one I ride on often. Two lanes, though it is a pity no one understands how to use the inside lane.

ParticipantI wouldn’t make a habit of taking off my helmet. If in first you could have popped it up on one tire spun it and stoppied on the guys hood. Then you could have spun out on the windshield (be careful, it is slick) and popped it back down when the light turned green. : ) Well that is what would have happened in those moving pictures they charge so much for.

ParticipantI have a sprocket adjustment on my bike for lower RPMs. This makes starting out a little tougher on mine. Just keep working at it and you will find the sweet spot.

ParticipantLook at me, I can ride fast in a strait line. Oh no, a sweeper, what do I do? this was no tragedy. Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy. Oedipus Rex was a tragedy. This was an inevitability.

ParticipantMy bike has a back brake? Yeah, I use the front brake quite a bit. The front will give you the most feedback on the Ninja.
