I just read a story about two young motorcyclists (18 years old) from Irving, TX died when they crashed into a freeway sidewall and fell 40 feet to the ground after going over the wall. It’s terrible to hear this kind of thing. However, I just can’t understand why somebody would ride and take the kinds of risks these kids take. Take a look at this news story and watch the 8 minute video on the “related videos” portion of the site. If you ride like this, you are indeed certifiable!

Look at me, I can ride fast in a strait line. Oh no, a sweeper, what do I do? this was no tragedy. Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy. Oedipus Rex was a tragedy. This was an inevitability.

I look at as natural selection, and yes im also glad I waited to later in life to ride also(39) When I see groups(much smaller but still out there in this area) I actually make sure to AVOID them cause you know some type of asshattery is soon to ensue. I mean honestly when your doing crap like that do you really expect NOT to get hurt/killed/maimed. Its hard enough without all that crap going on out there on a bike….

Stupid is as stupid does. I feel sorry for the families loss but these tools are the tools that give the rest of us a bad name.

..when someone dies prematurely by actions such as those which caused the 2 teens to pass away. When you are young, you feel invincible. Natural selection in my opinion is example, a baby dying from SIDS, or some one who dies from some disease like leukemia, sickle cell, or lupus; or even old age. Natural, I thought meant. no additives(like botox, silicon, or penal implants).. You subtract the bike from the equation and we all may have been blogging about another topic right now. Just my opinion. Like an @sshole, everybody has one. And most of them stink!

Agree on the opinions thing …but… stupidity unfortunately is a natural thing…. intelligence occurs only after things are added such as experience and teaching. So still qualifies. Botox, silicon, stabbings(some) , gunshot deaths(some) I agree are not natural selection just ill informed suicidal tendencies. :^) BUT there again some would say the same about our sheer need to be on our bikes.

Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today…… is a Bi**h

After watching the raw video I’m surprised only 2 of them ended up in this mess. The person with the camera isn’t even paying attention to where they are going 90% of the time, riding on the shoulder most of the time, darting in and out of the other bikes to get a “good shot”. Outside of a helmet, nobody was wearing any protective gear and they weren’t really paying attention to anybody else. You see multiple near misses of even the riders that weren’t doing the tricks….makes me sick to the stomach…
