Anyone ride with a heavier passenger? My husband doesn’t ride, so I was wondering if it is possible to carry him as a passenger. He is about 60 lbs heavier than me, so I didn’t know if that would be a problem. I’m just learning now, so it’s not an issue…i just was curious if it would be an option in the future.

Just take into account starting and stopping will be affected as well as any attempts by him to fight you leaning should be met with swift justice to the nads. It may be tougher on the stopping bit if you can’t comfortable flat foot or solidly ball foot on at least one leg. flat footing with both legs would be most optimal. And he most certainly should not fidget when stopping or stopped, which if he does, swift justice to the nads again.

I’ve been riding two up with my 80lb son for a short distance on the way to take him to school and my Ninja 250 handles terribly with two, just feels sluggish. I can’t imagine riding 2 adults on a small cc bike.

I have a Honda CBR 1000RR and my girlfriend keeps insisting that I give her a ride. How do you turn when someone is in the back. Do they lean into the turn with you or stay upright? Does your balance get thrown off in general? I’ve heard people complain that thier balance is off when someone rides with them.

They should be on you like a backpack. You will feel every movement they make. They have to stick to you and do exactly what you do, no less, no more.
