I have a pair of native polarized sport sunglasses. They fit inside my helmet fine. They are vented on top to prevent fogging. Mine came with 4 different lenses: smoke, clear, orange, and yellow. I have light sensetive eyes so sunglasses are a must for me even on overcast days.

I don’t think you need any riding experience going in, that said not everyone from my class made it. 4 people quit and a 5th person was kicked off the course due to wrecking into someone and generally not absorbing any of the information that was being given to him. The other 19 of us did fine though.

The beginner course is great but they only really scratch the surface. When they gave us our certificates of completion they told us that it qualified us to ride around an empty parking lot at low speeds, as this was all that we did in class. It does build up your confidence and the exercises are there to prepare you for real world riding even if the situations are imaginary and at 15 mph.

I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it in traffic at my skill level but think that it would be a good thing if done safely. This wasn’t done safely. I guess they were close to home because he wasn’t concerned about his wife falling behind.

Had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Can’t wait to get out there for real.

The bike looks like it is in pretty good shape. It needs a new front tire and the front turn signals replaced. The kid said that one of his friends bumped into the bike and knocked it off. He has aftermarket replacements that are included in the purchase. I didn’t see any evidence of a crash on the bike or the kid that owns it. He thinks he has the owners manual somewhere. I am not sure how I feel about buying a bike from a 17 year old. Especially one that shows up on the bike with a broken turn signal wearing shorts and a t-shirt.

I may have a friend that can loan me his truck for the one further away. The guy replaced both tires last year and it was adult owned. He still has the owners manual, the toolkit, a cargo net, and is willing to meet me at a halfway point. The bike is newer and still has its original engine. The owner is the original owner and the title is clear. If I can get a truck I am leaning towards this one. It is cheaper and I feel more comfortable with the situation. Now I need to research strapping down a bike.
