I found out about this one through ninja250.com. It was really cool that we all had the same bike and we were able to do the same thing on two of them, so it really sunk in.

When working on bikes last night one guy’s bike had a bolt frozen on the lower fairing. It was the one that has the bar to help support the kick stand. We got around it by taking the side stand off. For the test ride we didn’t put the fairings back on. When he stepped off of the Ninja 250 after the test ride the side stand just folded over. The bike was going down. On guy caught the bike inches away from the ground. Another reason to start smaller, I suppose.

I had my first problem with the size of the Ninja last night. I was parked at someones house in the grass with a slight incline behind me. The only way out was to push the bike backwards. I was too short to get leverage on the bike and had to get off to back up my bike. My friend that is 5″11 was able to back his up without getting off. The guy that owns the place is at least 6ft and he doesn’t have a problem either. Oh, they ride ninja 250s as well. Will riding a 250 make you sore. Maybe for the first couple of weeks. I would suspect that this happens on most bikes thought. Weight won’t be an issue. The bike is hardly going to know you are there.

Well there goes the saving money on gas theory. Just like that, the thing probably gets about 8mpg.

Hmm. So leaned over with your back strait is worse posture than sitting with your back curved like a C. My ninja is pretty straight up and down, but I have never had a sore back from riding it. Sleeping on the futon will almost shut me down though.

Booze, I suppose these are the”wayneheads” that you talk about. You will have to enlighten me upon where and how that term originated.

I hate helmet and seat belt laws. I just feel silly wearing a helmet in my car and I don’t even know where the seatbelt is on my bike.

Spaz-You don’t have to take the written portion in TN if you already have a license.

Rupmisc: That liberal arts degree won’t get you the job it used to either.

I would make sure all the bolts are tight. You never can be sure that assembly was perfect. It is something you are going to have to do periodically anyways so might as well get familiar with where they are.

That is the coolest thing ever. I loved that. Of course traffic on the thing moved at like 90mph.

I am pretty sure. Here is the link to the pads. They cost $12. http://www.newenough.com/helmets_eyewear/interior_pads_and_other_parts/hjc/cheek_pads_for_cl_15_helmets.html
