ParticipantWent to a Ninja 250 garage day today and got me so learnin’. We did valve adjustments on two bikes. It was nice to crack open an engine on a bike that wasn’t running at the beginning of the day, adjust the valves and reassemble and the guy be able to ride the bike home. It still needed some work. We are thinking his carbs need cleaning, but it wouldn’t start when it was hauled over and it would start when we were done. very satisfying.
Now, I just need to adjust my carbs. Not doing it by myself, that is for sure.

ParticipantThat sounds awesome! I’m the kind of person that loves to find out how something is put together and I am fairly mechanical. One of the things that I get kind of nervous about when researching bikes is that I don’t know a lot about them, mechanically. Something like what you did would be great for me, I think. Where can you find out about something like this?

ParticipantI found out about this one through ninja250.com. It was really cool that we all had the same bike and we were able to do the same thing on two of them, so it really sunk in.
