ParticipantIm Jay from Brooklyn NY, however, I’ve lived in SoCal for almost 9 years. I miss everything about NY, especially the pizza. The weather, my woman, and the weed is what keeps me in Cali. I experienced my 1st quake about a month ago. Lets just say I’m looking for a place to move in the next couple years after school. I’m 33 and never rode a motorbike in my life. So I went out and bought a GV250. Very handsome for a beginner cruiser. My soon to be wife is in love with it. Haven’t ridden the bike yet, only because they won’t deliver it until tomorrow. But trust me, I’ll more than make up for it. This web site is excellent for beginners and vets who ride. Each one teach one. And, the members of this site are great, and so is the information they give.

ParticipantSmoke, I saw you posted on my thread so I had to see what bike you bought. That Hyosung is a good looking bike and half the price of my 900. I bet it’ll be a good bike for a newbie. Try not to get caught up in what everyone else has. I’ve found myself thinking I could have gone bigger or smaller but in reality, the bike that I got is going to be mine for awhile and I love it. What color did you get? Be sure and come back and post after you’ve ridden it and let us know how it’s going.

ParticipantThanks! This is my (actual bike in the pic. I thought I would have been riding today, but I failed the written test today. Not trying to post a big forum about it, and I plan to study this time around for tomorrow; I use to be such a good skimmer. Well, my 28 dollars wasn’t a total waste. At least I got to renew my license, even though I failed the M cycle. Tried to kill two birds when I threw the old stone. The bird I really wanted to kill eluded me today. Damn.
