Borrow a scooter from someone and take the test on that.

Check craigslist. Also write down the phone number for the overpriced bikes and give the guy a call in a couple weeks offering a fair price and I bet he will bite.

The dealer is just trying to make money and what he/she says should be taken with a grain of salt. A DOT helmet is going to offer adequate protection. The Shoei helmets may be better but I can’t justify $500 on a helmet. I got an HJC for $90 and it is both DOT and Snell. That Hawk company has cheap helmets but I can not vouch for their quality.

Try Hawk helmets, you can get those real cheap and they are DOT.

Last fillup I got 73 mpg on the ninja. It seems like every tank of gas a eak a few more MPG out of it though. I guess some of that is my riding style improving.

Just make sure that she has gear that makes it obvious she is female. Guys will be out of their cars to help her almost instantly.

I was picking up a Oil Filter at the shop yesterday and sat on the GS500. They had one, used, in stock. That is a sharp looking bike that feels really comfortable.

    Get a jacket!

Do what you want. If it is between the SV650 and GSXR, by all means get the SV. 0-60 in 4 seconds means that there is a lot there. You will have to ask spaz but I am sure it is pretty easy to get the front wheel off the ground. Sure you can get ABS, but that is not recommended on a first bike because it can handicap you on a bike that doesn’t have it. The SV650 is a friendlier bike than in line fours, but Darth Vader was friendlier than the emperor and I wouldn’t recommend him as a first light saber battle. Start small, chop down some Jawa’s or something before trading up to blow up the death star. May the force be with you.

I have heard that the adjustable ninja 500 levers work on the 250.

Your body is going to have to adjust. You will be sore and really tired after riding the first couple of weeks. Your body will adapt though. Another problem is that you are going to be really tight on the bike. You will eventually loosen up as you get more comfortable. The death grip kills your hands.

I would feel funny on this bike without a spidey suit. Freak everyone out and go with the black suit.

You could go the power puff girl direction. J/K

Your jacket is white? Do you want to by new gear? Paint it so it matches your gear.

Don’t get too worried about the test. It is fairly easy.
