7 Reasons You Should Ride a Scooter Instead of a Motorcycle

Thanks! This is my (actual bike in the pic. I thought I would have been riding today, but I failed the written test today. Not trying to post a big forum about it, and I plan to study this time around for tomorrow; I use to be such a good skimmer. Well, my 28 dollars wasn’t a total waste. At least I got to renew my license, even though I failed the M cycle. Tried to kill two birds when I threw the old stone. The bird I really wanted to kill eluded me today. Damn.

That is the main reason I bought a cruiser. I had to be comfortable in the saddle at idle position in order to spend money. I never liked the lean (bad posture) position that sport bikes render you in. Maybe because I got into biking late. I usually see the younger crowd on sport bikes. Anyway, since you like to go “naked”, check this out.

Or if you really want to search in your city, and other surrounding cities for your SV….try this

Women are our other voice inside us that is very low(almost silent) in our ears that tell us to slow down, think about it, etc..
Only difference is the voice of a woman is much louder and harder to tune out. It’s good you consider her feelings. Hope she isn’t making you choose between her and the bike. Anywho, there’s a good way to handle things, and a bad way, as you pointed out yourself. If she likes surprises, it may be a good idea to just go and buy one, then ….surprise! Maybe after she sees it, she’ll like it and say.”OK honey, you can keep it (like a little puppy). She may think it’s sexy too how you just ignored what she said, and stand up for yourself. The other way(painful), try to get her into motorcycles to learn more about the different kinds of bikes, and which ones are less likely to lure you in to speeding(like lets say a sport bike). Teach her about the different ccs on a bike and what they represent. However, if she is totally closed minded about anything, start looking for the other MC….. A Monte Carlo…LOL

I agree ! Driving a manual transmission on a car will help a lot. It will give you the whole concept of how the clutch works with the gas(or throttle), and gearing. I haven’t taken my course yet but I have been practicing the clutch action on a bike. Not a problem since I’ve been driving manual transmissions since I was “still wet”. Nobody actually showed me when I first bought my bike(2 weeks ago). I just used what I learned in driving a manual shift in a car, then applied it to a bike. I’m not riding on the street. Just up and down my driveway to get a concept of riding a motorcycle. Don’t give up though. Well, if you’re still young that is. Practice makes perfect.

so technically challenged. Then, once I figure out what to do there, couldn’t figure out how to add pics. Once I thought I figured that out, when I tried to add the photo I couldn’t find any of the location balloons. Mine nor anyone else’s. Close, but no Cuban.

How do they figure a Ducatti 696 with 80hp, and the Ninja 250 25hp to be in the same league? Anything with 80hp on 2 wheels doesn’t seem entry level to me at all. Poor, poor misled consumer. Which ever one of you falls for that one, may we bow our heads and have a moment of silence……

Pretty impressive. I sat on a Comet 250 and 650naked when I was at the “H” dealer. Yeah, sad to say the bike was much too tall for me, the “franks” and “beans”. So you lowered it to the size of the GV650? Nice.
