ParticipantSooooo in short…. we are all sheep that are mindless and veer towards whatever the boob tube tells us and might as well give up the fight to better the human race cause well…its predetermined to happen…..
Wow…. why not instead sounding like the very “drinking the mainstream media kool aid” that your post supposedly suggests you hate…. instead offer up some actual forward thinking. I don’t care if your listening to liberal, democrat, republican, short wave militia leaning channels or heck even the Disney channel…. try them all -get better informed, make better decisions.
One reason why I hate politics…. most, not all , but most listen to the same “preaching to the choir” stations over and over so they can get that “feel better about being a (enter “party” here)” mood. Then try to spew the idea that if your not listening to that very same thing that you are somehow more skewed in thoughts then them. Get more info of whats going..there’s more then one story to every story.
I bet your a grunge movement fan weren’t ya ” My life sux I am a teenager and the world doesn’t understand or notice us”…yea teen age angst was a totally new concept right? pffft..please.
The world is getting scary out there yes. Instead of cowering in fear -stand up for yourself and beliefs and maybe informing others of what you perceive as better options and not …. get over it we are doomed. Offering ideas and not criticism or blame and having a good sense of compromise and understanding is gonna go alot further.

Participant$106 ..not tooo bad..I got mine for $86 but its a lil ol company called Gmax. I have a hard time spending more then 100 bucks that I am gonna have to change after 3 years or 1 crash. There again….that “fighter pilot styled” helmet with the retractable shades….. thats got me contemplating an exception.

ParticipantStick with the 650… It’ll be lighter, more manageable, less on insurance and more then you’ll really need. I have the Vulcan 500…..realistically I never need to upsize, I drive 30+ miles one way to work and then back + a few extra if I get out early enough. She handles 80 and 90 mph easily with plenty for passing. Another thing to think of if not for mere forgiveness of a rookie operator in most cases the higher the CC the lower the MPG.
Theres not a rider I ride with that would be able to outrun me with me on my Vulcan…honestly they are smart enough to worry about such pissing contests…. besides they know how I race :^) ( “Officer I would like to report a reckless motorcycle driver…I am holding highway speeds and he went by me like I was standing still….. the license number is………. “)The 650 is plenty, if your comfortable on it…..then thats all that matters.

ParticipantLet us know how it goes for ya.
Yea I figured out this morning 32-33 degrees Fahrenheit is about my limit. I ride a cruiser, no windshield but full face helmet. You learn about layering real quick. Unfortunately I am gonna have to back off scooting to work as mornings are averaging at freezing.
Last thing I need to do is wipe out on a discarded drink that froze over.
:^( . But….first time it hits 40+ degrees….. she gets pulled back out.Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today…… is a Bi**h

ParticipantHmmm…. will have to check back to the HD dealer here…. When I was there taking the Riders Edge course the sales person said the StreetBob didn’t offer the Black denim or the blackout pipes….. maybe I need to find the other salesperson.
>.< Doh! ...just found StreetBob pics...... ok new HD dealer.... apparently that one is not up to date on his career

ParticipantLoose battery connection…. sounds like the terminal is connected enough to get an initial spark but as soon as voltage is applied it “jumps” the connection loose creating to big a gap. Number one mistake I get with cars coming in on hooks for no starts. Check the connection, possible one of the techs skipped or missed that step.
In cars it always has a distinct click and nothingness. If all lights are out after it happens but not before that would be a good indicator for me.Let us know what you came up with.

2008 HD FatBob…in “Black Denim”. This bike only has 2 things for me to change for my taste. 1 the dual headlights get switched out for a single… I look at this picture and hear “Number Five is alive” dunno why -but it does and the headlights gots to go. 2nd HD offers this model in blacked out pipes and wheels. Ofcourse when I do get it the woman gets the Vulcan 500 for her starter …or so I am convinced at the moment.
Oh yea I am die hard Cruiser guy.Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today…… is a Bi**h

ParticipantTake the training you have convenient for you. If you are able to obtain ……whatever Saudi Arabia requires for you to have to ride then do that also so you can practice what you learned. Focus more on the skills ..even in MSF courses here in the states its relatively short sessions. Absorb what your given and go back and practice practice practice. I would save my vacation also. Once you get on your bike, relax and start getting used to it…. you will find that it gets increasingly easier to handle. Anticipation was the worst part for me. Once I got on the bike…learned how to control it via MSF and research… the rest was and is just practice. I just hit the 2K mile mark on my bike today, and notice that I absolutely loath my cage now. So far 38 degree Fahrenheit mornings aren’t to bad with good layers ….. atleast not near bad enough for me to put the bike up. Though I suspect at about the 20’s I will be forced to.

ParticipantSeen one today… those things look cool… .this rider though had some hard cases on the side… gave me the reminder of an old Norris movie….. Invasion USA I think it was…..or one of the “Delta Force ” deals…. anywho…
Man I need to ride mine up your way. I got lots of family in Fredricksburg Va and hearing you riding near the Potomac hit on some memories for me….. hmmmm…. maybe the next “warm front”.Yesterday is a memory, tomorrow is a prediction, but today…… is a Bi**h
