Rebel is the first thing that comes to mind… take a look around the reviews see what you can find… look at most of the major manufacturers and see what they have to offer.
    Welcome by the way!

LOL…I know all about the june bugs…and rose beetles…sounds like someone hitting you with an automatic BB gun on your helmet. One of the reasons why I want the Classic LT and not the Custom for my 900….. windshield is nice to have

Congrats on the 700 . Definitely be careful about putting that foot down… it’s safer to try and straighten up, had you been going faster we would be reading about a shattered ankle.
Other then that glad to hear your enjoying yourself !!!!

Next question…are they any good on 4? I have never seen them work… heck I just got through taking snap shots of 6 behind the house. If they are already that close to the road chances are their sensitivity to odd noises is way down. Not only that but just like most noises the sound is very much on a delay…. you will hear it better behind you then in front of you. By the time thier echo location type hearing catches up to you it’s likely to late.

LOL…dang it… the forum coding marked out my bracketed “pun intended”
Anyway… so far you can consider the points as a way to tell the veteran members apart from the newer ones… I think Ben had something in mind….though I think life and riding stalled it a bit.

“Techniqually” !? ok for the sake of splitting more hairs… remember you started it first… spell check?
Sorry … being an ass is a habit.. I just ordered a sticker for my helmet :
“Yes I have an inner child, and he is a mean little shit”
    fits me perfect.
Oh yea… and my spelling sucks a lot too.
Now days you would be very hard pressed to say anything is built exclusively anywhere specific… it may be “assembled” somewhere but various parts can and likely are to be manufactured in other parts of the world…harsh reality

It’s always that story… One tends to want what they can’t have…lol
    Stronger…you can fix that… taller…. remember the 70’s and platforms boots…KISS anyone?…anyway…
Welcome to the forum…sorry for your predicament… sit on anything you can..maybe you will come across one that just screams your name louder!

just an added tip: Pay attention to where you fill the gas up to… sometimes you can overfill it and plug the exhaust vent hole under the fuel cap. This symptom you have/had sounds eerily close to what I ran into with my 500. Just watch the fuel level on fill up and try to keep it in mind.

I live in Wendell grew up in Apex and bounced around the three county area….
    Pros:
Weather is suitable for 90% of the year riding.
History… Civil war, Revolutionary, Native American…. Native American decendants, Lost colony… you get the idea
Beautiful scenery from both Twisty back roads and Highways
Home to the biggest lil redneck cities around
More to list but to many to stay focused on….
    Cons:
Implants…. I don’t mind people moving to my home state..but for heavens sake quit bringing the dumb ass laws with you that made you want to move in the first place.
    Traffic… came with the implants
Unresitricted growth… my home and 45 acres that I grew up in Apex is now a huge apartment complex… the pond I fished in…now the parking lot.

I don’t see the need for you too. Only reason you should is if your using an O2 sensor for emissions control . I am unsure of what exactly slip ons really do and will look it up as best I can . However general rule of thumb is the exhaust should only help get things out ( only bad if the engine needs back pressure). Other then that I don’t see the need.
