Hi everyone , i am from the UK and i have been looking for my ideal bike for ages , i bought a 650 BMW Strada which was lowered and restricted but it was too heavy for me etc so i began looking at cruisers which all appeared too heavy again until i discovered the Susuki Savage LS 650 , I went to try one and found it to be ideal for me but someone beat me to it and also saw another one for sale at a dealers but that was sold also . I would really love to buy a new one or at least find one with low mileage and in excellent condition so that i can commence riding if we get any decent weather here in the UK this year , but i have had no luck in finding anyone who imports this bike and they are so few and far between ,you are all so lucky to have the choice of bikes in the USA and i also wish that i was taller and stronger so that i could try all the bikes, i wish…..

My dream bike is the Triumph Bonneville though, it only weighs around 400lbs. I always hear people in the USA complaining that they can’t find the bikes they want that are offered in Europe but not here. Goes both ways it seems. Good luck!

Stronger…you can fix that… taller…. remember the 70’s and platforms boots…KISS anyone?…anyway…
Welcome to the forum…sorry for your predicament… sit on anything you can..maybe you will come across one that just screams your name louder!May 21, 2009 at 2:05 am #18776owlieParticipantFunny you say that about not being able to find the bike you want in the UK… A common complaint on this side of the ocean is not being able to find a good selection of smaller bikes for beginners, where I guess you guys have more variety.
Welcome to the forum, and good luck finding a bike!

Hi Candice , i like the Bonneville too and it gets good reviews you did not say much about your Savage and if you have been on any travels , i would love to hear what you like about it etc . Thanks once again to all, i enjoyed your replies , will post when and if …. (oh i want it soooooo much) My Partner is vertically challenged also and has the lowest seat there is for his BMW R1100R , he made his 2nd attempt at the Brit Butt Rally last week and his Butt is suffering as a result awwww , he started out on a Baby Blade CBR 400 as a born again biker and it took quite a while for him to attempt to handle his BMW because it is so heavy and he had to have the lowest seat but he has to be careful where he stops especially with me on board. We also possess a wrecked Ducati 600 SS and my little Yamaha SR125 which he bought me to pass my test on and may i say what a terrific little bike for a beginner,it served it,s purpose. I love the Baby Baby Blade CBR250 but then again an Import and few and far between , anyway bye for now i could talk all day about bikes , just want a new one to try , lol Viv
