JimParticipant
Well can’t explain what is going on with your bike but here is one piece of advice. Your bike probably doesn’t have a fuel gauge but should have a trip meter. Get used to resetting that every time you fill up. So figure your tank size * mpg and when that gets close to the trip meter time to fill up. I ran out of gas my first week too! Luckily it was right by a gas station.
JimParticipantI like it!!
JimParticipantThat’s a classic, how many miles on it? Looks in great shape for 26 years old. Someone took good care of it.
JimParticipantI’m 5’6″ and I can flat foot my Kawasaki Ninja 250 while stopped. It has one of the lowest seat heights of any sport bikes that I’ve found, plus it is a great beginner bike. Cruiser seat heights aren’t as high as sport bikes so that is another option.
JimParticipantLOL, don’t hit the parked car, shes says.
JimParticipantWish I had a way to take new pup riding with me, sidecar maybe
JimParticipant250 megaspaz stickers, one for everybody on BBM!
JimParticipantI think he was just being a jacka$$ for his camera.
JimParticipantThe only good thing about being in your 40’s …. you can buy more expensive toys.
JimParticipantMy dealer only charged me $100 for my 500 mile service for my Kawa Ninja a couple weeks ago. They changed the oil and filter, lubed and adjusted all the cables and lubed the chain and checked out everything else.

JimParticipantThe best thing I got out of MSF riding lessons….slowing down before I hit the curve, not in the curve, he made me do that exercise like 20 times , I didn’t get it then, I get it now….no more going into curves too hot. the quick braking exercises and the swerve exercises. Also in parking lots and stuff I use the figure 8 skills I learned in class.
JimParticipantI love the seating on my 2006 Ninja, I can sit up close on the tank and have a more upright position, or I can shift my butt back towards the passenger seat and have a more leaned over sport bike feel. Very comfortable. Best part buying used you don’t have to go through the 1000 mile break in period!
