Hey thanks for the winterizing tips, I was wondering about what to do with my new bike for the winter. I garage mine, so good to know I won’t have to worry about alot of these winterizing things I’ve been reading about.
JimParticipantKawasaki Ninja 250 R manuals call for a service at 500, 3000 and every 3000 miles afterwards. FYI for price comparison I bought a new 2006 Ninja 250R with 6 miles on it from a dealer 3 months ago for $2800. Great bike, your skills and confidence will grow quickly.
JimParticipantLOL that will get the heart pumping, glad to hear you didn’t have any mishaps.

How do I prevent her from making a serious mistake? #10314JimParticipantWell at least see if you can get her in a MSF class before she rides for the first time. If she is rich she can afford it, hopefully she doesn’t think she is too cool for it. My guess she will lay down a Gixxer the first week she has it will be too scared to ever ride it again. Oh yeah leathers, don’t want to see road rash scars when she wears those short shorts.
JimParticipantI bought these :
the volume is not real loud (which is what I wanted) and it is wired to my ipod in my jacket pocket. the helmet jack is very unobtrusive, don’t even know it is there if I don’t jack in, sits under the lip of the padding on the back part of the helmet and you don’t even know the soft speakers are under your earpads, it does have a volume control, which I just leave at max, because as i said it is not very loud, but no other controls. Works for me on my commute.
JimParticipantPurty bike and I dig your helmet.!
JimParticipantwhat a squid..errr. kitty…uhhh squirrely kitty
JimParticipantHere in Utah if you take the MSF class (and pass it) the Driver License Division waives the riding skills portion of the test for your M endorsement. You just have to take the written, which is pretty much everything you went over in the class portion of MSF.
JimParticipantThat is a hot little bike.
JimParticipantLooks like an orange chia pet with wheels
JimParticipantLOL you crack me up BoOZe
JimParticipantNo, but probably was a sight, driving with one hand , trying to pull my shirt tails out of my pants and rubbing my belly .
JimParticipantThanks for the site!
JimParticipantI’m riding a Ninja 250 right now, and it fits me perfectly, can flat foot at the lights. For my next bike I was looking at gs500 or sv 650, I was taking my bike in for service yesterday and was looking at some other bikes and their bigger cc bikes were just too damn tall. Sorry for the hijack Shannon.
JimParticipantHow tall are you Shannon? Just wondering about how big a bike the gs500 is. I’m short for a guy, 5’6″ so lot of sport bigs are just too big for me.
