Interesting facts, they seem in line with common wisdom on motorcycle safety. The only one I wonder about is what’s up with the over 40 statistic? More riders in their 40’s buying bikes (like myself) ? Slower reflexes?

They aren’t give hand signals to turn, they are giving you the motorcyclers wave with their left hand ;-) I used to think the same thing when I would see bikes approaching me,

Glad you didn’t highside, rear wheel lock ups are dangerous, they say keep the rear brake depressed until you stop if you lock up the rear wheel.

That’s like Silica Gel – “do not eat these tiny plastic balls you dumbass” . You know if they take the trouble to put that sticker on there some moron has already done it. Do not underestimate some people’s stupidity.

Your photoship looks good but the Kawa green just doesn’t do anything for me.

Glad you didn’t high side, they say if you lock up the rear break not to let off it, can high side wreck if you do, a pretty dangerous crash.

Here is a pretty cool DIY that Budd did for his Ninja https://bestbeginnermotorcycles.com/forum/forum-topic/1469/my-action-packer-upgrade

I just put everything in a backpack.

Yes the Ninja 500 has the same body style has the pre 2008 Ninja 250. Nice thing about that style is you can ride straight up or if you want to shift your butt back you can get a more tucked position. When I took my 8 hour ride, switching between the two helped with back pains after such a long time in the saddle.
