Ok guys, got a 1999 Ninja 250 a couple weeks ago..it should be back to me this coming week from the guy thats getting it tuned up/inspected/ready to go..The only thing on the bile im “unsure” of how I feel is the color scheme. Its Kawasaki Green(thats the part I like thats a color I actually wanted..but the other color is Purple..thing im unsure of is even the rims are purple. What do you guys think..I really dont know myself if I like or dislike the purple/purple rims..im more into green and black than green and purple..that just must have been the “in” colors back in 99….could the rims just be painted black or would that just look bad? this would not probably happen till next spring anyways so I have time to see if it grows on me or not…let me know what you think of the green/purple color scheme/purple rims..

One of Kawi’s design principles is that their bikes must never be mistaken for another brand of bike (Hence Kawi green).
While that bike certainly looks right our of 1993, personally I’d leave it stock.

i dunno about old kawiz, except for 250cc kawiz 2stroke we have er but i get the impression the rims were recently painted but they are nice… hah! finally someone added the jelly to the peanuts butter and banana: yoshi on a kawi… so two in one exhaust ey…

No, they are stock like that from the factory..thats just the color scheme for that year(s)

well i have seen green and purple but the purple was on the fairing… cant recall about the rims… but the bike seems well kept and entertained for a 99(?) kawi…
