ParticipantI use Rotella 5w40 synthetic. It sounds like the bike thanked me when I switched. much smoother. I would have replied but I am stuck with IE6 here at work.

ParticipantYou can’t just stick the nozel in like a car. You have to barely put it in and watch carefully for it to fill to the base of the little rim that extends down into your tank.

ParticipantJust because he can call them what he wants doesn’t mean he should. I mean, the title of the post was respect, right? Oh, and nice anonymous post, coward.

ParticipantDude, you have just had a really bad run of luck. It is good that you are learning something from each one though.

ParticipantIt is likely due to the Triumph being used in “The Wild One.”

ParticipantI would say riding a motorcycle takes longer. I have to change after I get to work and before I leave. I mean if I only wora a helmet and gloves, sure it wouldn’t take much time, but I wear a jacket, pants, boots, and ear protection (this can get shifted when putting on a helmet making it a pain in the butt).
You may save some money. It won’t be very noticable. If you can do your own work it adds up faster. It has costs that you don’t think about though. When I changed my oil, I had to buy a torque wrench to tighten the drain plug to spec. No rider stays happy with a stock bike for long. They always want to make little modifications. These add up quick.

ParticipantBooze, don’t take this wrong, but maybe motorcycling just isn’t for you. How many accidents is this? Dude, stay safe.

ParticipantYou probably don’t want to call it a Jap bike. If you have to condense it from Japanese try J-bike. Jap is a derogatory term. Also don’t call them nip bikes. Japanese bikes or j-bikes. If you want to pay way too much for your first bike, get a Harley. If what other people think is important to you, get a Harley. IMO they are way over hyped and way overpriced.

ParticipantI would go with a double bubble windscreen. I have only heard good things about them. Or if you can find someone to make a custom you could go that route.

ParticipantWe don’t have a tiered licensing system. So instead of producing lower CCed bikes they just ramp up the advertising on their 600s and call them beginner friendly. Cheaper really and almost ensures OEM part sales due to wrecks.
