I’m 5’5″, but our leg lengths are probably about the same since I’m a girl and you’re a boy. It’s a nice fitting bike for me. I dragged my husband’s Aprilia out of the garage yesterday to wash it and found it a brute to handle.

The Shiver’s a 750. And if it comes in an automatic, I’ve never seen one.

I would be a hooligan on that ibke, so you could too. My husband has an Aprilia Shiver and loves it. But if prices are inflated where you are, that might be a pricey toy.

I LOVEt this bike, but you can’t get it in North America and it’s only suitable if you have riding experience.

It’s a Yamaha FZ6, and it comes stock with undertail exhaust. Check out the rear view at the Yamaha UK website.

No, it’s a parallel twin so at idle it goes whump, whump, whump. I get it serviced at a Yamaha dealership and they’re all sort of fascinated by it since Yamaha doesnt’ make anything even remotely like it. Whoever test rode it after my first service put 40+ miles on it.

Suzuki makes all their bikes look like crap in promo shots. It’s some sort of reverse marketing ploy. I did a ton of online research before buying and never looked at this bike. Then I walked into the dealership and bought it ten seconds after seeing it in person.

Wow, that’s fantastic mileage. Can’t help you with the mods though.
It’s amazing how fast the miles add up, isn’t it?

I have to go have a look; be right back!

Edited to say: there’s something about the front end I really don’t care for. The headlights look tiny, which in turn makes the rest of the front of the bike look big, which makes it look almost like a touring bike from the front instead of a supersport.

Yes, I bought a GSX-R 1000 for my first bike. I figured I could handle it, since I’m like, old and stuff.
Kidding. I have a Suzuki GS 500f. There’s a picture of it here:

I know very little about Kawasakis.

The benefit to riding a GS500 (like there weren’t enough already?) Without a fatty back tire I didn’t get nearly as wet and dirty as my husband did. I just washed both our bikes and his was filth compared to mine. His back tire flung mud and water up over the seat and all up his back.

It has the drop down sunglasses like the Symax but not the hinged front.
