ParticipantI am kind of wishing I had bought a dual sport for when we camp; we could use it to recon new camping areas. But then I look at my bike and fall in love all over again.
Wait a minute; maybe I need TWO motorcycles!ShannonG
ParticipantHe’s riding your bike, isn’t he? Does yours have clip on bars?
ShannonG
ParticipantHow about a muffler with a huge ass sticker on it that says FOR CLOSED COURSE COMPETITION ONLY?
ShannonG
ParticipantHa! Clearly he’s had it bored out.

ParticipantThe Aprilia Shiver is not a good beginner bike, but it is HUGE. The seat has to be like 34″ off the ground. It’ s big and bulky and well, manly. Some sort of largish naked something would work. And because of his size, maybe he could get away with more displacement, I don’t know. He’d certainly have the strength to throw the thing around.

Participant2008 Suzuki GS500f, which I am too lazy to take a picture of at the moment:
Custom graphics
Yoshimura TRS exhaust
Dynojet kit
K&N filter
Progrips
billet bar ends
I think that’s just about it for this season. Suspension upgrades will happen next season.ShannonG
ParticipantSo, so boring. 2001 Suzuki XL7.

ParticipantI’d better be sure not to mention the suicide throttle…..

ParticipantI have a love for faired bikes, mostly due to my sport bike groupie teenage years. But if I recall, you posted pictures of your bike and it is a very nice ride indeed. I have NEVER seen an SV in red before, and I like like like it!

ParticipantI would have thoiught just the opposite. The GSX is marketed as more of a sport tourer.

ParticipantA ’72 anything is pretty vintage. Do you have mechanical abilities?
ShannonG
