ParticipantI kknow that a heavy key ring is bad for a car ignition because it hangs. I don’t think you can damage your ignition with that number of keys, but there is the annoyance factor and the paint around my ignition is getting a little scraped up from my house key waving around. Sometimes my house key gets stuck in the gap between the ignition plate and the handlebar mount too.

ParticipantI just paid $200 for a first service (600 miles). I may need one more oil change before I put my bike to bed in early Nov.
On on aside, after your first service be aware that you will be riding a whole new bike again. My clutch, throttle, front brake and choke are all very different feeling after having the cables tightened.ShannonG

Just don’t look at the pictures on the Suzuki website because their photographer should be shot. Can I get a hellya, spaz?

ParticipantIf you like the Ducati 696 and think you can handle a bike that size, consider the Aprilia Shiver. It’s virtually the same bike as the Monster power and spec wise, but liquid cooled.

Edited to say: My husband has a Shiver (his first motorcycle in 10+ years) and while he is the first to admit it is a very powerful bike, he also is enjoying it immensely. You just need to be a grownup about it.

ParticipantI wonder if people know they’re riding a bike that could be renamed the Nagging Bitch. That’s even better than calling it a Viagra!

ParticipantI had zero experience as well. From being around motorcycles I knew where everything was, but that was about it.

ParticipantYou have a very hot car. Thanks for the info on the 250r.

ParticipantTell me why you’re unloading your 250r so fast. I’m curious because it was one of the bikes I originally looked at but couldn’t get due to availablity issues. Then I saw a fella on a 250r try to beat traffic from a light and the acceleration seemed, well, unimpressive. I think he was a very new rider and he wasn’t revving it up much though, which I have read is a must.
