hi guys, just found the site about a week ago and i’ve really liked it so i decided to finally join. I’m new to motorcycles and just turned 18. I’m impatiently waiting for a call back from the TEAMOregon classes. i want to learn already! I plan on getting a 250r since i’ve heard so much good things about it. Well, thanks for making such a helpful site and i’m glad to join.July 16, 2008 at 3:24 pm #8882megaspazParticipant

hey welcome to the site, I’m pretty brand new myself, sadly for me I’m a good year away from being able to get a bike (big move across country in a year, not feasable to buy a bike now) so make sure you let us know how you’re doing once you get yours. I’m also looking at the 250’s, though I’m aiming more for a cruiser (virago, rebel, etc..) than a sportbike. but everyone else here seems to love the ninja 250.
good luckJuly 22, 2008 at 7:15 am #9097
anyone from oregon getting the MSF courses or TEAM oregon classes as they are called here i think. The one nearest me doesn’t reply and they don’t have like a formal office that i know of at least. Any help would be appreciatedJuly 26, 2008 at 8:06 am #9312
FINALLY! I’m scheduled to start on August 26th! I can’t wait now, very excited. Gotta find some gloves and boots in the meantime. Also quick question, Did people buy a bike right after? or did they already have one like garaged and were just waiting to use it?July 27, 2008 at 4:39 am #9351ShannonGParticipant
I bought a brand new bike before I had ever ridden one, period. I don’t think that’s recommended or even particularly sane. Although it worked out pretty well for me.July 27, 2008 at 4:46 am #9352BuddParticipant
I started looking at craigslist about two weeks from my class and had a deal locked down the Friday after the class.
A friend that I took the class with, still hasn’t got himself a bike yet though. He is looking, but hasn’t settled.
