Smoke you would be surprised how those pipes are… at idle you can still hold a normal conversation without having to yell over it…. get into her though and yea…. you can definitely wake the neighbors.

Was wondering when we were gonna get another one of you guys on here.
Step 1: Get dad’s help with mom
Step 2: Get as much info for mom to help keep dad off the couch for the night
Step 3: get MSF info and coax mom into reading about it at the very least, get her to go with you if you can.
if all else fails… wait til you rout from under her roof. I say Her roof cause every man knows that he’s the king of the castle as long as she allows it! :^) A smart man anyway!

LOL…glad you had a good ride. The more of you folks that talk about the weight and cumbersome shifts of backpacks I see the more and more thankful I am for my saddlebags.
Oh and could not agree anymore emphatically on the Dew!

Don’t sweat the highways much man. Actually I find it much easier aka: boring then side streets and back roads. For one…. 99% of the time your all going the same direction. Most worries you will have is the emergency “I missed my exit” lane changers… the occasional crosswind and if your a speed demon LEO’s. Other then that… stay at pace if not a smidge above traffic speeds.

Personally I would be wary of it. “Rebuilt Brand” to me says that he already knows its unlikely he can get an original registration for it and the only possible way is to claim it as a “rebuilt” or “salvaged” bike. That away if you get pulled while on it the LEO’s would be less inclined to run VIN numbers. If the bike was stolen then “recovered” a week later then the original owner…which I assume he bought the bike from would still have the original regi’. Sprocket , brake changes do not constitute a rebuild registration.
Just my early thoughts on it. Sorry man, this would be under an extreme case of BUYER BEWARE!

Ok …. so why is it so easy for you to pass judgement on giving up someones rights for them instead of firing or voting against the idiot that forces you to pay for some one elses mistakes?

Even though I can see and sympathize with your points and views… but where does it stop? Mandatory helmet law… ok… I can be cool with that….mandatory gear….nope… lets see whats next ….hmmm deaths by motorcycle are more prevalent on sport bikes….lets get rid of those too….. oh yea and hep B from tattoo’s….might as well make those go away….cell phones have a slight risk of causing cancer… sorry those are gone to, how about TV, books, computers..they all have some slanted report of eye sight problems…. ok whats next… fast food, related to obesity… parenting? yup there are some bad parents out there too so to avoid that risk lets just stop having kids all together. Trees are known to fall on people… gone…wait then green peace gets upset and riots… they’re gone to! Lets not forget wildlife they are known to attack once in a while to.
Think I am going to extremes with this….read your paper, watch the news, hell just look at all the new signs popping up at your local haunts. Let’s quit protecting idiots and teach them. At what point are you willing to stop living and just exist?
Every day we bitch and moan about what this costs “US” and what that costs “US” in the short run. Never stopping to think what flood gates are being opened. What we lose in the future as far as freedom of thought, and choice. You ride because you have the freedom to do so. Cause the guys and gals in uniform fight to keep that freedom of choice available to us. Yet year after year we let some white collar out of touch pencil pusher take this stuff away from us for fear that it may add $5 or $10 to our premiums.
Get your soul out of your wallet. Ride for your life and the freedom to do so!
The best saying I have heard in a long time is:
“Only bikers can truly understand why a dog sticks his head out the window of a car”
Think about that the next time you feel the wind hitting your face and the smile you just seem unable to wipe off.

They really need to find you more room. Your fighting two “demons” at once. Getting the idea of clutch/throttle control and compensating arm movement for turns w/out throttling. MSF, or at least the ones I’ve seen, usually gives you 2 rows of parking space minimally to duck walk… even then it’s about 4 or 5 steps at a time. With some bikes you will likely have to lean forward to give your arm the reach it needs to not effect your wrists on the throttle. If you can manage ….get you some straight line duck walking as much as you can til your comfortable with it. Then sit still and practice turning your handle bars hard left so you can understand the mechanics of the reach and skill required for throttle control.
