I’m planning on taking my Ninja 250 from Utah to Yellowstone (about 300-400 miles) next summer and touring Jackson Hole and Yellowstone with it for a week. Really looking forward to it.

I bought these helmet speaker for my ipod, they go under the padding of your helmet, You don’t even know they are there. They jack is under the lip of the back padding, just put my ipod in my jacket pocket and plug the cable into the jack.

The volume isn’t very loud, but I can hear my ipod at full speed ok, you can buy louder ones for more money.

Hope he bothers to drop the $500 – $600 for helmet and gear, he might need it.

The 250R is a great all round bike for a beginner, It can handle anything you throw at it. Don’t believe that “you need a bigger bike to run away from danger” line of crap. If you need to run away from danger it is probably too late anyway.

What is the sprocket adjustment if I may ask, and what does it do for performance on your bike.

I get around 62 MPG on my 2006 Ninja 250. So your does sound a little low.
