    Just got my first motorcycle!
I’m thinking of calling her Piglet, but I’m open to suggestions….

Thanks BBM for all the beginner tips!

In that case it’s more of the case of the rider making that bike look good. :-P

    J/K! <– sort of –>

congrats on the bike. Love white bikes. Looks good with you on it, so you should call it “hawt-piglet”. :-D

    Thanks for the complement =)

When I sent the pic to my friend, he said, ” wow…almost looks like a grown-up bike. ” (He was disappointed I didn’t get a Harley)

I love the bike…wouldn’t trade her for anything… well at least not for now…

It probably looks bigger because I’m so small… I’m just under 5’1″ . The rebel was one of the few bikes I could touch the ground on without having to do anything to it. I was on my tippy toes on the ninja 250.

Personally I think the Rebel is a great bike.. Especially for shorter riders.. Hope you’re having a blast with it.

I just hit 50 miles on my bike, and I’ve completed my first repair. There was a bar on the shifter that was bent like a banana (not sure what the girl I bought the bike from did to it)…anyway it made it really hard to shift. I switched it out (thanks bikebandit), and she is good as new. I also had my first group ride…went out with some friends from work for lunch. It was great to get some tips on what to work on.

wow, I can never understand people who pull stuff like that. if you fit that well on a rebel, and your other post says your just under 5’1, who in their right mind would recommend you start on a harley? heck Elwood started on the smallest harley they make and it’s heavy even to his 6’+ 200lb+ self! I’d figure the sportster would have to weigh something like 5x or more what you do!

I’m glad you didn’t listen to him :) that bike looks great under you.

Nice bike, it looks great and you two look like you fit together really well. Love the color too…stands out and doesn’t look like the usual.

I’ve been leaning towards the Rebel 250 as my first bike too. I’m 5’5″ and definitely want a cruiser. Good luck and have fun!

I would totally recommend the rebel for anyone starting out…especially those on the shorter side. Try and find one at a dealership and sit on it. Also try the virago 250/ V star250 as well. I wasn’t really looking for a white bike in particular…just got a good deal on this one on craigslist. My coworker gave me some michelin man stickers since they co-ordinate so well with my bike =)
