Well, since Ranette was brave enough to post about his Ducati GT1000 I figure should post about my ride. It’s big, it’s red and it’s Italian but it’s not a Duc. It is in fact…… a 3 wheeled scooter
What can I say? I was unable to get an 08 Ninja 250 and I guess I read one too many post of someone going down on gravel so I ended up going with three wheels instead of two. These things are a blast though. I’ve had it about 6 weeks and done around 1400 miles and loved everyone of them. It is rock solid on the freeways, can do 95mph and apparently, in the hands of someone who knows what they are doing, can corner quicker than most sportbikes (but will quickly get left behind on the straights).
This is a great review of it on YouTube, even though I don’t speak Hebrew, these guys make it look fun.
FullGaz ReviewI’ll probably progress to a real bike in a year or two but right now, I’m loving this thing.

September 30, 2008 at 12:49 am #13000nlightendrednekParticipantThose are sooo cool!
September 30, 2008 at 1:18 am #13003ranetteParticipantFunny when I was looking at scooters not that long ago I saw the MP3 and thought, no way, I’ll never need anything that big. Guess that line of thought died a quick death.
From everything I’ve read they seem to be great bkes(trikes?), and a blast to ride. I’d seen one in a dealership but never even a picture of one on the road, very cool the way those front wheels move. You have to give it to Piaggio for coming out with a totally unique vehicle.
Best of luck with it.
September 30, 2008 at 4:07 am #13017briderdtParticipant(no, not THAT kind of magazine) It’s got a pretty lengthy article/review of these. I haven’t read it yet, but the bike (trike?) looks like a lot of fun.
September 30, 2008 at 4:10 am #13018LokiParticipantWow it looks really fun. Can i drive it?
September 30, 2008 at 1:26 pm #13028AndrewParticipantLook like fun.
September 30, 2008 at 2:27 pm #13034JimParticipantWow that is different. Looks cool in an alien sort of way. Have fun on it and be safe.
September 30, 2008 at 4:16 pm #13042eonParticipantNo, you have to ride it
October 1, 2008 at 12:58 am #13075AmorylParticipantI remember you talking about this one, I thought you’d decided months ago that you were going to get it?
those things are as sexy as they are expensive! you’ll definately turn heads. especially with the cute artsy girls that flock the downtown and pikes place
October 1, 2008 at 1:25 am #13082briderdtParticipantActually in Seattle, or a nearby town? I’ve seen some one around the south end riding one of those (Federal Way?). Maybe it was you…
October 1, 2008 at 2:33 am #13087ilnamParticipantI was in Seattle for 5 days last week, and I did Not see you
October 1, 2008 at 3:19 am #13088eonParticipantI live downtown. I have never been as far down as Federal Way so I guess it was someone else. I get to the SeaTac area to play soccer but that is as far south as I’ve been.
October 1, 2008 at 3:22 am #13089eonParticipantI did kind of decide decide months ago but then I was strung along by the dealer (up in Burlington) so I was having second thoughts. Then one day I see one sitting outside Vespa Seattle and I bought it then and there. First ride outside of MSF was in rush hour downtown traffic! Sometimes you just gotta grab life by the nuts.
