hrm… i’ve seen folks all geared up to the hilt and they suck at riding… better gear != better rider…

look at getting 2 bikes. That’s a big weight difference and there’s no way you’ll get the suspension tuned for both of them. The only thing I can think of for around $1000.00 would be something really old with a lot of miles. Not saying there isn’t a special find out there, but it’s really rare. Search out craig’s list for used bikes and good luck.

hrm… what insurance carrier you got? i just changed to state farm which is really cheap… To full coverage, 100/300/100, my SV650S and Ducati 848, costs me a little over $1000 USD for the year… or basically $40.00 USD a month per bike… with only a $500.00 USD deductible…

It’s a tool in the toolbag so use it. Don’t rely on it soley for your braking though. Brakes will stop your bike more efficiently than engine braking.
