what sunglasses does everyone have and do they keep bugs and air out of the eyes. and of coasrse they would be worn under the helmet
June 4, 2008 at 9:50 pm #7002RydRyParticipantI wear a few types, none of them keep air out- goggles do- I wear oakleys under the helmet and also smiths and von zipper- I prefer the plastic wrap around styles like smith and vonzipper to the metal oakleyys for keeping bugs out if the shield is up
June 4, 2008 at 10:36 pm #7005AnonymousGuestPhotochromic are best. Those are the ones that go dark when it’s bright and clear when it’s not.
I know you can get them in prescription lenses but not sure if you can get them in regular sunglasses.
Wear a full-face helmet and that’ll keep the wind out (and also might save your face from being scraped-off).

i don’t understand how you can wear sunglasses under a full face helmet, but I hear you need to make sure that the ear pieces aren’t too long
June 24, 2008 at 1:58 pm #7743BuddParticipantI have a pair of native polarized sport sunglasses. They fit inside my helmet fine. They are vented on top to prevent fogging. Mine came with 4 different lenses: smoke, clear, orange, and yellow. I have light sensetive eyes so sunglasses are a must for me even on overcast days.

around, I want it caught and shot now…June 24, 2008 at 3:02 pm #7746shagglesParticipantI have some Chillis that I wore the first couple rides but they don’t fit under the helmet that well. I also noticed a kind of prism effect when I wore them with my face shield closed. I assumed this was because both are polarized. I stopped wearing them after that and I’m trying to track down a tinted face shield but even the clear shield helps cut the glare.
June 24, 2008 at 5:40 pm #7752canstaettParticipantI have to wear glasses al the time. I wear them under my RF-1000- just put the helmet on first and then slide the glasses on. Takes a bit of practice to get it right, but its perfectly comfortable and I haven’t had any problems, andI only have to switch to my sunglasses for the ride home in the glorious AZ sun rather than switching out the whole face sheild. I just wear my regular glasses in the morning- again, no problems, even with oncoming headlights.
June 24, 2008 at 8:20 pm #7762BenParticipantI wear some safety glasses that I got from work. They are tinted about as much as my dark smoke visor and a lot faster to put on so I have been wearing them quite a bit.
