ShannonGParticipant
I think the blue is butt ugly, IMHO.
ShannonGParticipantI just bought a GS500f and I’m very very happy with it. Are you looking at the blue or the black?
ShannonGParticipantI can’t see the Suzuki 500 being expensive to maintain since it is a very basic design that has been around for two decades. Of course, having just bought one that may be wishful thinking on my part!
ShannonGParticipantI live in BC and got my learner’s with nothing but a written test. To get my official Class 6 I have to pass a road test and parking lot low speed drill test, but I am free to ride on the road with a supervisor in the meantime.
ShannonGParticipantI started making a point of doing it before i even leave first gear after my hubby gave me a hard time about it.
ShannonGParticipantMy stupid internet isn’t working right and I can’t get the link to open!
Edited to say: It looks like a cross between a fighter plane and a Goldwing!
ShannonGParticipantSee my post in the General section entitled MAMA I’M COMING HOME for a picture of what I consider to be the sexiest beginner bike ever. Not that I’m biased or anything!
ShannonGParticipantI just bought a GS500f and I think it could pull that kind of weight.
ShannonGParticipantIt’s a Joe Rocket, and it’s mesh with a zip -out waterproof/windproof liner.
ShannonGParticipantSuch a sweet little bike! I am partial to Kawi green, but I seem to be in the minority.
ShannonGParticipantI’m a Facebook girl myself
ShannonGParticipantThe bike shop lady said white is one of the best colors safety wise, but yeah, it gets dirty fast. I find I am constantly leaving makeup streaks on it, especially around the collar and cuffs. I have a handwash setting on my washing machine and it dries really fast so it’s not really the end of the world.
ShannonGParticipantI’m a cyclist too (mountain and road). I was surprised (although I don’t really know why) at how much of my cycling experience translated directly over to motorcycling. Corners are second nature to me, But on my first ride when i did take off on the street I started off on the far right side of the lane, where I would cycle! I had to remind myself that the whole lane was mine!
PS you’re absolutely right about road bicyclists. Elitist snobs.
ShannonGParticipantIt is defintitely a wicked looking machine! Love the red seat.
ShannonGParticipantI live in orchard country and the fruit trees are in bloom so it was a double whammy of scenery and motorcycling!
