Dude, if you get those headlights… I swear I will steal your bike! Don’t test me…LMAO. Seriously, good luck finding these, might be a custom rig, but they do make the bike look super badass.

I actually bought one instead of a 250cc just cause I knew I was going to upgrade in a year to a 650R. The bike is a little heavier than a 250R but not by much. I’m 5’10” weighing close to 190lbs., and I have no problems flat footing or holding up the weight.

The bike’s throttle is very good if you respect it. If you grab a fistful, even can happen on a 250R, it will take off. The bike just needs to be respected, but not feared. I feel just as comfortable riding the 650R as I did the 250 at the BRC. It’s all about how comfortable you feel. Sit on both bikes and see how you feel on them. If they let you test drive it, go for it, even if it’s just duck walking across the lot.

PS… I have no prior motorcycle experience before the BRC.

I wish her the best in her recovery.

I’m on the same boat as Zig, took the course in June and after that it became my addiction. Everytime I get on my bike, I have the corniest grin and it just doesn’t go away even when I stall.

It definitely feels different than being in a car, but it’s a good feeling that you just have to experience for yourself.

So far I got 50 miles on my 650R. Hopefully sooner than later, I will get comfortable enough to ride it to work.

    Congrats on the 10K mark!

This is tougher than I thought it would be. For the time being, I ordered the knee/shin protector just to have a little something than nothing. i’m still looking for some pants and I’ve come across the Icon Arc Mesh Overpants, the Alpinestars Air-flo textile pants, and the Fieldsheer Mercury Pants.

This rain is killing me. I wanted to go out yesterday after grocery shopping but down came the rain. This summer has been a real let down. But congrats on the bike! Since it’s taking a nap in the garage, you should sneak in and take some pics for us. :-D

“I’d like to catch it and throw it back in their car.”

    You read my mind.
