I have heard of some old guys removing the spring intentionally! They call it a “suicide throttle”, for good reason hu?

Wow! You should never ride distracted! I know I would have a tuff time keeping my eyes on the road.

It’s that “It” factor that so many people just can’t, won’t,or just don’ t want to get. Do your best to help keep her safe but in the end it is her choice and hers alone. So you do what you can so no matter what happens you a have a clean conscience. Good luck

My instructors where adamant about not covering. This was a big problem for me because I was told to always cover when first riding, so needless to say I got yelled at a few times. Ever since my MSF class I do not cover, but I am still up in the air about it being good or bad.

June bugs are the worst! When they hit you on the highway it feels like you just got hit with a paint ball.

It is the same here in Michigan, and the MSF class cost $25

Be sure to turn the switch back to the “on” position after you get it started or you can do damage to the engine.
Under the seat is 2 hooks, one on each side of the bike. All you have to do is put the metal “D” loop from your helmet on the hook and then close the seat. The helmet is locked to the bike. As far as the rest of your gear goes you will get used to always having a backpack with you. In some cases you can lock your jacket and pants to the bike using a chain and a lock(the kind you used to lock up your ten speed/mountain bike back in the day) running through the sleeves and/or legs and locking that to the bike. Great to see you are gearing up!!! ATGATT !! ( =All The Gear All The Time) We have a lot to worry about out there!
    Great Bike!

I had the same problems with my wife-ish. We spent several hours in the parking lot across the street, practicing cornering, braking, and not wiggling when the bike is stopping or stopped. I think not being in traffic was a good idea to help her get comfortable. I even bought cones like the MSF class and set up off set weaves.

Wow my dad calls my bike “that death machine” and my gear “that death gear” I call it “anti-death gear”. One of my brothers and I both ride, and my father never misses a chance to let us know exactly how he feels about bikes. But you know, I just remember lima beans (no I am not loosing it), I hate lima beans no matter what you do to them, I hate them, and I know how good they are for you. The point is, some people just hate bikes no matter what. Period!! You just live your life the way you want because unless the Buddhists are right, it is the only one you get. So be safe be smart and live your life!
