Buy an EZ Pass … attach to bike…
Sangria7ParticipantI use the crampbuster (original throttle rocker) and love it. Took them on a 600 mile trip. I dont think I can live without them now. So much relaxed riding!!! Highly recommended. For $12 cant go wrong trying them and then if you don’t like them..take them off. But go with Crampbuster.com – their design is the simplest and best.
Sangria7ParticipantI cant get mine to fit onto my helmet. The band it comes with is not large enough for my fullface helmet….
Sangria7ParticipantFor that price yes a convertible is probably a more viable solution. The market target for this are the rich middle age men who already has the convertible and have extra cash.
According to the manufacturer it is for those people who want to turn heads – again – a middle age crisis syndrome LOL. Definitely just a toy. Fun to be able to test nonetheless.
Sangria7ParticipantYea sorry its the same camera as yours – the ATC2K. Only 2Gig though.
Sangria7ParticipantScientific Oregon ATK2000. It was the cheapest one I could find that was also waterproof I used the windows Vista video editing tool that was built in.
Sangria7ParticipantDown here in TX, it has been high 70s and low 80s and sunny. So tons of bikes running around! Fun Times!
Sangria7ParticipantYea – according to the manufacturer its definitely not a mainstream bike. It was meant for those people with extra cash and toys – which sux for us regular guys/gals.
No I would not buy it personally as I dont have that much disposable income laying around.
This is probably more of a status symbol than anything.
Sangria7ParticipantIt is street legal and it is meant for on road traffic. Hopefully I will be able to test ride it soon. It’s supposed to have the same weight to power ratio as a Corvette.
Sangria7ParticipantHey Medic
Gratz. You might want to check out the Rebel250.com forums. They can be a little overzealous but generally a great source of information for Rebel upgrades, fixes, etc.
Sangria7ParticipantO dark hundred!!!
Sangria7ParticipantOne word can sum it up “EGOS”.
People tend to entertain their own egos rather than thinking through safety. Unfortunately we have become a society of “bigger is better” mentality. Its funny to see some of these riders who have 1800cc and have only 2000 miles on their bike after a year or two. To them its no longer about the ride but how big their engine is.
To me it’s all about the ride and how you enjoy it – who cares if I don’t have something over 1000cc – a lot of times in my opinion, people who do have larger CC’s only do it for show. And they are the same ones who can’t make a proper U-turn anyways LOL..
Sangria7ParticipantI actually had a good MSF class…
The instructors explicitly said that passing this course does not make you road ready..it only provided you the skills to move on to a larger parking lot! LOL.
As far as practicing – I get the privelege of doing stop and go’s, emergency stopping, swerving, and reducing radius turning everday on Houstons I-610
Almost 5000 miles in saddle in 6 months-woohoo.
Sangria7ParticipantMunch – that was a good response! But unfortunately I have no idea what you just said LMAO. It was like reading a thermal dynamics physics book HAHA..Just kidding man.
I was only trying to wrap the actual pipes for aesthetic reasons (ie for the black out look) and I dont think it will give any performance increase (I may be wrong). Also I was trying to reduce radiant heat from the pipes as its only 80deg here in Houston and I can feel my pipes already when in dead stop traffic.
The wraps from what I understand keep heat in the pipes instead of radianting them normally. The insulated heat increase air flow in the pipes thus the outflow has increased velocity. Hopefully it doesnt increase velocity that much that it would require rejet.
Sangria7ParticipantBest thing is go actually see them in person and sit on them….
