Anyone have experience with throttle rockers? I went for a 90-minute ride yesterday, and when I finished I noticed my right middle finger was white and had little feeling. I had noticed this in the past couple of months but thought it was because of cold temperatures. From info I have gleaned on the web, I see some have advocated using a throttle rocker to try to solve this problem.
Anyone else with similar experiences or throttle rocker expertise?

As far as Beginners go I would steer riders away from them until you know you have full control and trunk (mid body) strength. Have that on the throttle and not see a sudden dip or rise in the road can become dangerous quick if your body and arms aren’t in a condition to remain somewhat un effected.
A 90 minute ride… I wouldn’t need it that short of a ride… though I am about to partake on a 500 mile jaunt (1,000 round trip) and thinking about it. I turn wrenches for a living though and forearm strength and control is not an issue with me.
Seriously even if it helped you on the short runs, it’s just a band aid covering up a potential problem.March 23, 2009 at 1:18 am #17232briderdtParticipantAside from the TPS adjustment on my SV, the Crampbuster went a long way towards progressing my throttle control. Others may have differing opinions (see above). For the money, though, even if you find you don’t like it, it’s a relatively cheap experiment.
But I would definitely get that one-finger thing checked out. Reynauld’s syndrome (if I didn’t butcher the spelling that’s a miracle) comes to mind.

A lot of people experience hand and wrist discomfort because of excessive reliance on the handlebars for balance. If you were going at speed (30mph+), could you take both hands off the bars without feeling insecure or losing balance?

So much relaxed riding!!! Highly recommended. For $12 cant go wrong trying them and then if you don’t like them..take them off. But go with Crampbuster.com – their design is the simplest and best.

I haven’t ridden the Blast much in the past month, however. I have been riding with the throttle rocker for the past week now. I don’t think it will have much of an effect on my finger, but I do find it more comfortable.
