You can take off the heated grips and put the old ones back on? *shrug* It’s getting warmer anyway, so yeah, not much point now.

now, if the city would do something aobut those durn potholes as well as those huge metal plates on the ground…
Which part of Chicago are you in? I’m in the Wicker Park area.
March 23, 2009 at 6:27 pm #17285CandiceParticipantI’m in Joliet. I thought the potholes were bad in my area but I heard from friends that in Chicago itself it’s even worse. Hmm, metal plates doesn’t sound so good either. Wicker Park is a cool area, been down to the Double Door a few times over the years. I am too scared yet to ride my bike into the city, yikes!

March 23, 2009 at 7:45 pm #17293briderdtParticipantI put Cycra Stealth hand guards in my bike, and quite frankly they made a bigger difference than the heated grips. And they’re easy to remove and put on the “next” bike…
March 30, 2009 at 2:55 pm #17425AndrewParticipantIt’s about time to pull the bike out of the garage. The freezing mornings are starting to ease off although the snow yesterday scuppered my plans for some riding. I rode through December 15th and once I can ride into work at a consistent 40 degrees I’ll be happy.
Going to have to un-winterize the bike and do all the boring stuff soon. I may even hit the Church parking lot to make sure my skills are still up to riding to work with the cages.
