I say yes. Dirt riders use their leg to help them whip through tight turns. True a sports bike on the street’s a tad different, but between dropping your bike and saving it, it’s worth the risk. yeh you could snap your ankle or something putting your foot down, but you could also do that keeping your foot on the pegs and low siding with the bike landing on you. I dunno. I don’t see anything wrong with foot assisted saves. Now on a different note, most would say if the rear slides out, you should roll on more throttle so the rear has an easier time getting contact with the pavement which I would is probably what you should’ve done.

as far as i know, the ninja 250 has very little forward leaning. it’s pretty much almost standard riding position. best advice is to go the showrooms and sit on as many bikes as you can.

you’re right. some manufacturers use standard zippers so you can mix and match different brands jackets and pants. dainese doesn’t though. they use a small teeth zipper while everyone else uses big teeth zippers.

Sales girl is wrong. Only if the pants you want is part of a jacket/pants fastening system. If not, you can mix jacket/pants brand. Even if so, you can still mix jacket/pants brands. You won’t get the benefits of a brand’s jacket/pants fastening system, but you can mix and match whatever you want.

a few of different ways to back a bike in depending on where motorcycle parking is. One is a full on slow turn away from the spot about a lanes length and to walk the bike backwards into the slot. need to be careful on this. You can wait for oncoming traffic to pass by and friction-zone/power walk the bike away from the slot and back it in. You’ll want to stop the bike a slot or 2 before the slot you want to park into if you do this. Or you can go past the slot a bit and wiggle backwards into the slot. If slot’s not going downhill to the curb and pretty level, just park the bike forward. Or you can park the bike forward and use the kickstand as a pivot and rotate the bike on the kickstand which i wouldn’t recommend, but people do it.

um… doubtful on the racing career, too old, too many things to practice and not enough time or $$$ for excessive track days. :-/
