thx for the suggestions. the last time i checked it was twisting just fine back in the summer but it’s sat outside covered since then. probably corrosion now you mention it, but probably not kinked cables since the bike hasn’t moved.

thanks. when my bike broke down on 280 many months ago, the nice guy that pulled over put the hooks of his tie downs on where the handlebars meet the front fork (he knew what he was doing).

my mom said a uhaul is too expensive, so i’m gonna find a truck to put it on sometime in the next few months, and drive it down to LA. does anyone have a truck ramp or motorcycle tow trailer i could borrow for a weekend at that time?

i’m crazy dumb…. so since i couldn’t get the fairing off… i didn’t look around for the drain plug, i just went for the first thing… and it was the air flow tube…. i shoulda looked….

so now the problem is basically getting the fairing off so i can get the filter off….. i can’t believe i’m an engineer…. and took off the wrong screw…. at least it wasn’t for fuel or something, cuz nothing came out…. hahaha…. i’mma laugh for days…

the bike is a ’95…. and what a waste of time….

i just figured it out right now cuz i was still curious cuz something about that screw didn’t seem right, so i took a mirror and a light (beats feel)… and saw there are two screws… one is the oil drain plug, the other for another tube….

    bring on the laughs….

I have a beginner ninja 500. zero-to-sixty in 3.76 seconds, max speed is 120mph. Even riding 2-up, it’s plenty fast for a freeway. Honestly… do I really need a faster bike?

I’ll stick with buying used bikes ;) hopefully broken in correctly and maintenanced correctly, and also to mention, cheaper, and no tire shine (=

I’m a leather guy myself. I guess just how much you’re willing to pay for a medical bill in case something happens. My skin is valuable to me also, and so I invested in leather.
