What do you consider a ‘long ride’ that you like to go on?

    2-3 hours non-stop or 500-800 miles in a day?

I transport motorcycles in the bed of my Mazda 2500 pickup truck a few times a year.
From Ninja 250s, Honda CBR1100XX to BMWs over 650 lb.

Here’s how I get the bikes on and off the truck bed:

Use the engine to walk along side of the bike to get it into the truck bed.

Usually, two ratchet straps are enough to secure the motorcycle, as such:

The secure points for the ratchets should be at the lower fork legs, not the handlebar.
Extra ratchet for the rear end should be attached on or near the swing arm not the sub frame.

At least I asked if my pic of cleared field was acceptable first

and waited for a few days for clearance.

Nice picture, but in the spirit of keeping the game going… LAME.
Most people who ride motorcycles would not have opportunity to take a picture that include a lighthouse and a frozen lake along their motorcycles.

Besides, it’s a file photo taken prior to you grabbing the previous challenge… REJECT.

Man, at least ride to a different location for the new tag…

Well, no objections for few days, I will move along for the next tag:

QLink is a pretty big company, produce mass vehicles in China and other countries in Asia. Sometimes I feel that the lacking of quality is not because they can’t make similar quality machines as the Big 4 or Euros, but for the volume they sell within Asia and the lack of demand for quality, they probably do not see the benefit of improving quality to sell their machines overseas. For all I know, they are likely to have sold 10,000 vehicles in Asia vs each one vehicle in US or Europe.
What’s the use of improving their existing machines where there is no demand for better quality just to satisfy US/EURO or compete with Big 4?

This is about as “clear-cut” as it gets around me.. it’s a farming field that’s been cleared for the coming planting season.. acceptable?

    It’s a 1998 Moto Guzzi V10 Centauro.
Designed by Luciano Marabese for the 75th anniversary of the Moto Guzzi factory, the V10 Centauro was produced in limited numbers during 1996, ’97 & ’98. It is in essence, a sports bike disguised as a cruiser. I think 600 units were imported into the US for 98.

I just use the jack that’s in my car trunk, a block of wood against the bottom of engine block.. easily life the front end while the bike is on its center stand.

    18″ front wheel, normal size..

Fork brace came with bike as purchased..

Previous owner have replaced the OEM handlebar for some super wide bars with sweep back.. I’m looking to replace it with some MX bars with crossbar to mount my GPS.

If you already have a middleweight moto, why get another middleweight?

    Go big or go light..

Nothing like a nice liter-class sport touring moto that is able to melt the miles for hours at highways speed with decent comfort.

Nothing like a supermotard that allow you to zip in and out of tight traffic and hop on & off curbs in the city.

Yeah FZ8 looks awesome, but is it really that much different that your current moto?
Will it cruise at highway speed for hours with much much more comfort and ease than your current ride?

All you need are some bungee cords to strap the tires to your moto secure enough to take a ride..
