…I would so love to get you on the back of my K bike. …not to scare you, just to enlighten.

Sounds like a tall order to find appropriate videos but i’ll give it a shot later, ANY size bike can get out of hand real fast, I have a friend that just started riding a Kawasaki 250 ( big tall strong guy ) within the first week riding he pulled an uncontrolled wheelie while entering the roadway from an inclined driveway, the bike was T-boned by an SUV. Fortunately he was no longer on-board at impact but the bike was creamed. …sorry no video:(

The big differences are once you get out of shape, a lighter bike is easier to regain control over. An extremely powerful bike can literally pull out of your hands and a ‘pipey’ bike ( one that has a narrow power band that comes on all at once somewhere in higher revs ) can loft the front wheel at very high speed. I once test rode a 70’s model, modified Yamaha RD350 that was mild mannered at normal road speed but if you twisted the throttle and waited for it to hit 5500 rpm, the thing would cat walk from about 40 mph. and it was even fitted with flat bars. It was not a pleasurable bike to ride, way too much like throwing the switch on a big bottle of Nitrous Oxide. Scared the crap out of me and at that time I had 8 years experience.

Almost time to start tapping the Maple trees :)

my street helmet spends too much time in a helmet bag on the top shelf of the cupboard but in less time I wore out 3 Trials helmets. …that’s why i want the MV F3 in 2012, so I can wear my street helmets out faster ;)

The RF fiber shell still looks perfect but the liner is toast. Good thing about an old helmet in good condition is you never needed it so it must have been adequate for the application:) Bad thing, now she’s landfill or target practice:(

how much is your head worth.

Works out cheap for me considering how long I keep my street helmets, I’m replacing a Shoei RF-200
…try finding a visor for one of those puppies!:o

fender eliminators, aftermarket exhaust and aftermarket shocks are the popular upgrades, it looks hot now and the only way to make it look like a ‘bigger’ bike is to fit it with bigger rims and tires which is expensive. Just keep it clean and keep the suspension all working perfect, ride lots.

…I hope this was not just a spam post, why does it have a link to nexx helmets?:i which btw are terriffic helmets lol

Eon, remember to look where your bike will fall if the stand was to give out, don’t line your tank up with a concrete curb or you might increase damage.

Maybe park next to a scooter so your bike has something soft to fall against;)
…i was kidding about the wheelie comment;) everybody just seems to say that when they see a nice new bike :/
would you be doing that advanced training course again, or is it not worth repeating?

but i’m not totally sure what kind of bike we can mount on those tires, …why no 21 inch front ? Would be a total blast hooking up that 18 inch rear on some massive displacement mx :)
I think i’ll pass on these for my Trials bike, too much danger of drowning while riding.

…edit that, your link has a 21 inch trelleborg available so I can fit these things. Now where would one go to ride with them on?

    Motorcycle Savings Calculator

Do you burn gasoline – yes, motorcycles use fuel efficiently for me – no, I have no life and enjoy the smell of public transit.
Do you pay for parking – yes, motorcycles saved me a ton on parking – no, I have no life don’t go no where

Do you enjoy a healthy active life style – yes, motorcycles improve your sex drive – no, I don’t get it

Yes, my employer pays 46 cents per km plus parking so when I ride for work my bike makes me money:) – no, I don’t want to work longer hours even if it does involve riding.

damn … doing it all wrong again, I’ve been living life from ride to ride.

    …insane metabolism
I have one of those, …just had a big bowl of maple syrup n’ toast, slightly wired now, …ready to go sit on cota in freezing cold garage and think about changing her back tire.

All motorcycles can be expensive only if you can’t do your own basic service. Have you compared the insurance cost yet. Rough choice, they both can be nice bikes!

    …That’s a little late actually.
My first bike was one of these at age 10, they didn’t make mini bikes back then and I had to slide over on the edge of saddle to touch a toe down.

on the day of my 16th. birthday I passed my motorcycle test on one like this

My worst motor vehicle injury was sustained in a car.
…well actually that’s not totally accurate,
I started out in the back seat and my head injury was sustained after I went through the front windshield. Oh and BTW, I was hurt the least of the 3 occupants.
