LokiParticipant
I just got my first rain today also. Lol, it helps if you duck right under your wind shield, it helps blow the rain off your visor.
LokiParticipantIm 6’3″ and my GS500f is comfy but lond trips (hour or so) my back and but start hurting.
LokiParticipantI bought a 2007 GS500f with 950miles on it and perfect condition and paid 3800 for it. So i think thats way to high. Pass on that one. If you wait a bike will come to you.
LokiParticipantI have some Dickie Multi-purpose gloves. Their not the best but its better then nothing. They have pads all round, no paint, extra pads over knuckles . The only probelm i have is that the right glove wants to slowly slip off from my hand. (giving it gas) and the gloves arent riding gloves…
Its better then nothing.LokiParticipant“I love dirt bikes because that’s where I got started and you don’t really have to worry about traffic with them. (And your typical street bike just doesn’t handle the jumps all that well!) Meanwhile, I love the sportbikes and naked standards for their aggressive styling, awesome performance, and amazing use of technology. And, yet, I also like the cruisers (particularly the power cruisers) just because they’ve got style and offer a greater chance for individuality.”
Lol, thats just about the same way i feel about bikes. I use to think that naked bikes were ugly (like the gs500e) but they are growing on my and the SV650 just looks BA and mean as hell. I have a sports bike (kid, speed, turns) but i wouldnt mind haveing a cruiser.
“I think big bikes are more about long road trips and comfort. That and ego.”
I hope you dont immeditly judge someone like that on a big bike. I know someone who has a superglide ( i think) and he’s nice and modest. He told me he would go riding with me sometime, i said we would be an odd couple “a sportbike and a harley” He then taught me “It doesnt matter what it is, as long as it has two wheels its fine” thats way i dont “dis” people with HD. The only bike i personaly CANT STAND is ape hangers. I hate that bike style.
LokiParticipantStupid
Quick
Underdressed
Imminently
DeadLokiParticipantI havent but i would like to, a good rush.
August 15, 2008 at 6:36 pm in reply to: What type of bike do you have and what have you done to it? #10626LokiParticipantHow much horse power does that Yoshimura TRS exhaust give? And the Dynojet kit? Can i also ask of you the price?
LokiParticipantI thought they can only right one if its blue or red?
A stick like that would be funny.
LokiParticipantWould the SV650 be a decent step up from the GS500F? I love the look of it but if its a beginners bike, i really dont want it as i already have one and will not be a beginner. And i would like to learn power wheelies my next bike (responsibly) would this bike allow my to do that? If not what other bike is there thats comfy enough to ride for hours and down right sexy but also have power? I also have in mind the Kaw ZZR-600 and the Hyosung 650r.
LokiParticipantI also wear glasses, its time consuming.
On a side note. Who else has sneezed in there helmets? Yesterday was the first time i did it and i didnt know what to do. I normaly sneeze threw my mouth cause i dont like snot flying everywhere but that sometimes causes alot of spit. But i got that itch in my nose and i was like “crap sneezr through my nose of mouth” I took the latter and sneeze through my nose…. Snot and spit at the bottom of my helmet, im like damn…. I also tried to hold it back but that also sucks.
How many times has this happen to you guys and what did you do?LokiParticipantI was able to get mine for 50 bucks a month. And im 17.
My dad is signed on with me.LokiParticipantMan i thought i had it bad by having to drive 1 1/2 miles down a gravel road on my bike but COBBLE. I cant see how a bike would handle on cobble. /sarcaism/
Youll be fine, take it slow.LokiParticipantIve had the view for ever also. They just look cool, mean, and fast. Im also NOT a fan of ape hangers. I look at street bikes and you see them they are going fast while laying down almost, that looks cooool and fun. Not to mention the “mysteriousness and badassness” of a geared up rider.
But after awhile im starting to like naked bikes, i even took my bottom fairings off for awhile cause i think it looks like the SV650. I LOVE the look of the SV650 with the top fairing, MAN its sweet looking. Would it be worth it if that was my upgrade bike? I mean its a step up but arent they also beginner bikes?
LokiParticipantA metal plate sounds good. I cant show off my cylinders cause i have fairings. I like the spot road, i might put real neon underneath. My tires are small but i do like that idea of lighting them up, could look B.A. if done right. Ill have to find a way to hook it up to the battery but thats the least of my worrys.
