I got these for only $24.95 plus shipping from Olympia’s web site, listed under Internet Specials. My motorcycle is blue, as is my helmet, so I bought the blue/black gloves. The normal retail price is $99.95, so these seemed like a good deal.

The gloves arrived quickly, and Olympia’s web site sent me a tracking number so I could follow the progress of the order. Upon receiving the gloves I tried them on, and found them comfortable, although they lacked a bit of padding under the carbon knuckle protector. I still figured the gloves would be adequate for street use in mild weather. Well, today I took them out for their first extended run and found I cannot recommend these gloves.

Although comfort is not a problem, the blue color seems painted on, and is already flaking off and discoloring my jacket’s sleeves. The gloves also have far too many seams for confidence in a crash. Considering the lack of padding, many seams, and paint flaking off, my verdict is Not Recommended, even at the sale price.

I’m still looking for a pair of all-around gloves that offer excellent protection and long life. I wish I’d kept my Held gloves instead of selling them a few years ago.

I have some Dickie Multi-purpose gloves. Their not the best but its better then nothing. They have pads all round, no paint, extra pads over knuckles . The only probelm i have is that the right glove wants to slowly slip off from my hand. (giving it gas) and the gloves arent riding gloves… :(

What do you think will happen if you go down?

    Get some riding gloves ASAP.

I’ve been rocking these for the past few months and they kick ass, and they are only 30 bucks.

I have been using the powertrip street unit gloves. I think I might buy some gauntlets from the Kawasaki sight for the winter though.
