Here’s Why Every Pickup Owner Needs a Quality Truck Bed Mat

Where I live, it doesn’t rain all that much, and cools down over night. But regardless, my preference for a leather jacket is its social versatility – when I use my bike as a primary mean of transportation (late spring to mid fall), I just don’t want to look like a dork when I arrive where I wanted to get. You can always wear a leather jacket and look ok, while, once the MC is out of picture, armored textile jacket on a person just looks and feels … I don’t know.

That especially goes for overnight trips, like night or two. Definitely don’t want to carry two jackets because I might need one when I get there where I will be spending a night.

And my experience with the rain is, if it sprinkles anything will do, if it pours, especially at speed, nothing short of dedicated rain gear will work right

maybe, because Victoria Beckham lookalikes aren’t used to angry glears, especially not from bikers :))

I’m thinking that even letting the rear brake go wouldn’t have been such a big deal, since slipery conditions and the fact that you kept the bike upright.

… he has gaps in his theory and tends to fill them with whatever just to make a point. I tend not to put much weight on that kind of thinking.

about this. guy is half right, but gets some things wrong. confuses mass and weight on couple of occasions. Also, it’s pure physics, for every speed and corner radius, there’s only one angle to pass it. Angle being the angle between the line formed by center of gravity and contact patch and flat line. It is irrelevant how high on that line is a center of gravity. So, his idea that tucking itself would decrease the angle is simply wrong.

my first bike was s40, and it had melted patches from the previous owner :)) – I mean his rain gear, not himself :)

Great bike, good confidence builder; I learned everything I needed on it and decided it was time to change once I’ve ridden it full open throttle in every gear. Good for everything except hwy speeds.

    Some to pay attention to:
    – crash bar on this bike is for display only. It won’t protect the bike or your legs if you go seriously down.

    – inspect the belt regularly. Since your driveway is gravel, it will likely get into the belt. Not a big deal, but if it remains stuck between teeth of the sprocket, it might damage it. Unlike some more expensive bikes, the belt on this one is not fully protected.

:). Asking because I just got one for myself, and had developed a stange medical problem – can’t pry off that big grin of my face.

Newer years (from 2008 in Canada) come with ABS if that’s your thing. I got a naked version, and was thinking for a moment to look for soem kind of windshield, but have given up for now – this is just the way how good bike is meant to feel.

I’m coming from a big single cylinder, and it was strange feeling to get used to the city riding, slow and stop and go. I can’t imagine that inline four would be better (do you commute on your bike).

This bike is just amazing, I don’t see myself getting back to cruiser style, raiding position and maneuverability ever again.

Did you consider SWAT boots. they are scarily advertised like some kind of swat team boots, but in reality, they are very comfortable, sturdy, very light, adjustable (there’s side zipper besides laces and it works) and water tight. There are regular and wide sizes available.

I just think that you expect too much form the fact tat you expect to pay cash. Dealer really doesn’t care what you use to pay, as long as it is liquid. Actually, they’d prefer you use loan because they might get an incentive from the landing institutions they refer and more importantly, with cash you are limited in what you pend, with the loan, they can milk you more if they know how :)

… since you seem to be a nice and reasonable guy, I’m going to ask this question: how is a helmet different than seat belt when it comes to legislature making it mandatory or not. What I mean, there are people opposing seat belts, but I have never seen big gun arguments like democracy, freedom, liberty, respect … being pulled out while debating belts legislation.

If that thing revs without apparent acceleration, either you are holding a clutch half way or clutch slips. Have it checked by somebody with an experience.
