KumadaParticipant
The test drive rule is disappointing, but considering the risk in riding bikes, it makes perfect sense. Thanks for the heads up, guys!
KumadaParticipantGood grief…I am glad to hear she is going to be alright! It doesn;t just scare one to be riding…but it would scare anyone to have someone special in a wreck of any sort. Good luck to the both of you, and pray for a quick recovery. This is why when I first get a bike, I’m riding on roads I know are sparse of traffic until I get my confidence up.
And everyone I’ve talked to has told me to wear a full face….now I know I will!
KumadaParticipantHey Aggie. What would insurance be on a Vulcan 900?
I mean, obviously, it’ll be different for everyone. I guess what I mean is….woul insurance on a 900 be worth the money saved compared to an 1100?
I like the look of the 900 except for the front tire – I like the bigger, sturdier look of the V Star and M/C 50’s
KumadaParticipantSounds like good advice, Munch. Thanks for the reply.
If I remember right, (didn;t pay attention to them much at first) the Vulcan 900’s were nice bikes. I really liked their sleak look. The same goes for the V Star 950, but that thing was a bit uncomfortable, not to mention too new to find used.
I’m glad soemone spoke out for the 650. Sounds like a good idea. Thanks Munch.
KumadaParticipantHey guys, thanks for the responses and advice! I’m looking at Hyosung even more now. My neighbor who is a very big bike enthusiast, has a Honda Shadow and told me that for my size, the 250 will get old within a week or two and to just stick with a 650cc for my first bike – especially after I take a class. And so I looked at the Hyosung’s 650cc Avitar…and holy cats it’s a sexy bike.

Here’s a blog by a dealer who sells Hyosung in Pensylvania. Not where I live, but full of good info! Man…if I could fit that thing, it’d be awesome. But still…that class will tell me if it’s for me or not in the first place I suppose.
