Curious that your husband doesn’t ride, Candice. I’m the one who wanted the bike in our house and my husband knew that either he got one, too or I was gone without him. LOL!!! He decided to get on board. He’s new at this, too.

It wouldn’t have bothered me if he didn’t want to ride. I’d have gone without him. It just happened that our neighbors were selling both their bikes and it worked out for us.

Ok, so I rode out for about an hour/30 miles total. Unfortunately, it clouded up. I’m sure that was a long enough ride by myself so it didn’t hurt me to come home.

I absolutely loved going out by myself. Love it, love it, love it….

    No new issues…:-)

As I was going out on the main road, a couple of bikes went by and when they waved at me, I felt like I was part of an exclusive club. :-)

I’m going to Alaska next week on a cruise and I don’t want to leave my bike long enough to go!!!

THanks so much to everyones’ responses! Cool site!

Sorry, Santacruz, when I said I overshot the bank, what I meant is that I was so excited about navigating the stoplight that I forgot we were going to the bank until I saw Hubby turn in. But I do NOT feel 100% in control of the bike by any means.

I like the ideas for tailgating.

Shifting and turn signals are going to take some time…..

Thanks for the welcome to the board, y’all.

This is exactly the type of stuff I was looking for. Is there more and how you should park your bike at stops?

I can’t handle when someone tailgates me in a CAR so I’m sure that I will not take it well when someone does it while I’m on my bike!!! When we rode on Tuesday, my husband rode behind me so he protected me from that.

OK, thanks for the shifting information. I didn’t realize the gears were correlated to the speed that way. Duh.
