Jordan S.Participant
I have two uncles that work on cars, one builds engines. I will ask for you tomorrow.
I read that you do want to work it but not keep the RPMs constant, as in fluctuate the rpms. You want it to put some work on the cylinders. And I read you should probably change the oil after no more than 20-30miles. Just to be on the safe side.
Jordan S.ParticipantI feel that id rather be safe than sorry and I don’t really want to find out if my gear is good or not by crashing.
I dont really know what type of gear is good or not and even though I live in a hotter climate id rather be protected than have to sacrifice it to be more… comfortable.
I cant seem to find anything that has kevlar in it or alot of cowhide besides what I posted. I heard that other synthetics such as polyester can melt to your skin, so id rather stay away from that.
Any proven suggestions?
Thought about these:
I saw a guy riding the pants above and he highly recommended them.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
EDIT: I found a site called motorport making Air mesh jackets 10x stronger than leather and its cool in hot weather!
Jordan S.ParticipantHAHA, lucky. Though I was quoted way more I think that premium you pay was about that for me except for 2 mo. of coverage. Though I heard a statistic that was something like 75% of riders that are involved in crashes dont have adequate insurance coverage- which kinda makes sense with everyone I hear saying “oh my insurance is so cheap only 200$ for a year.” Funny since I was thinking more like 150$ a month for me if I wanted an excellent coverage.
Jordan S.ParticipantI hear… cant remember where but It needs to be snug enough not to be rolled off your head if someone were to pull it forward from the front or the rear. It definitely needs to be snug but remember that the foam will shape to your head. So it needs to be tight but image if it was a little looser. Go with tighter over looser.
Different makers make different sizes so if your buying over the internet go to a dealer and try out that maker and the different sizes and ask the associates there to double check too!
For example I am a Medium-Large for Scorpion’s Exo-400.
Doesnt mean I will be a medium-large in a Shoei though.
When you have it on, have someone give it some good yanks to try to get it off. It shouldnt come off easily or at all (of course you want it to come off just not in an accident).
Go full-face too.
And a 600$ helmet doesn’t necessarily mean it is better than a 70$.
