ParticipantNice, but I’m not sure how much that chair is going to help.

Participant“i.e. wheelies while splitting traffic, impromptu road racing, and to make it through that gap that is closing.”
No, no and no…..
I have no desire to do any of those and don’t, but when you are going 70 down the road and you have an 18 wheeler barreling down your backside at 80 your brakes aren’t going to help.

ParticipantSince I do a lot of highway driving I can’t imagine having a 150 or 250 engine. I know in a lot of areas they would be great to have, but around here the flow of traffic is at least 70 – 75 (on a slow day) so I need something that is going to run comfortably at that level and still have power to spare in case it is needed.

ParticipantI told my fiance we could all fit on a bike and now I have the proof! lol

ParticipantI guess it would help if you knew what bike I want to put this on.
I got a Katana 600 so I really didn’t want to go with saddle bags, but I will check out that site (thanks). After seeing some links and comments about newenough.com I went and checked out what they have and that opened a whole new set of choices. Would still appreciate any comments on bags that have worked or not worked for anybody out there.

ParticipantI see 2 people riding together all the time around where I live and this weekend there was a group of 6 or 7 together. Very interesting, not sure I would ever want one, but interesting none the less.

ParticipantAfter watching the raw video I’m surprised only 2 of them ended up in this mess. The person with the camera isn’t even paying attention to where they are going 90% of the time, riding on the shoulder most of the time, darting in and out of the other bikes to get a “good shot”. Outside of a helmet, nobody was wearing any protective gear and they weren’t really paying attention to anybody else. You see multiple near misses of even the riders that weren’t doing the tricks….makes me sick to the stomach…

ParticipantI will be taking the course at the end of the month. Looking forward to it.

ParticipantI am in the DFW area.

ParticipantUnder 21 helmet is required.
Over 21 can get a helmet exclusion sticker (like an inspection sticker on the bike) if they can either prove they have over $10,000 in medical insurance coverage or they successfully pass the MSF.
I have a lot of friends and neighbors that ride and they all wear theirs at all times, I haven’t ridden in a while, but I can’t imagine being without a helmet, too many crazy drivers out there. I do like the natural selection theory though.
