Seen one yet? I saw one the other day… wicked definitely an attention grabber, and a WTF moment. Check it out… someone figured out how to make three wheelers and Trikes work .

Uses the reverse trike formation that a few scooters like the MP3 have been using. The Spyder looks like it will handle more like a car though with those wide front wheels.

There are two I see regularily around here. One owner shops at the same grocery store, so I got to oogle it while he was shopping ;)

I think the comparisons to motorcycles, three wheeled scooters (MP3) and sports cars are all off. This thing is a sled (ski-doo, snowmobile, whatver you want to call it) for the road. It seats almost identically to a snowmobile, and I think rides more like on than like a bike.

Just like the new style mustangs, I wouldn’t own one – it simply isn’t meant for me. But I smile everytime I see one :)

I have seen one in Houston TX…and it looked pretty sweet lol…

The guy was crouched over like riding a sports bike. Looks like a good commuter. And the semi-auto shifter probably makes it easier to shift through heavy traffic no?

this isn’t a motorcycle and as such has absolutely no business being mentioned here on BBM :P

    ;)

these things look pretty sweet. there’s several in the neighborhood, and I’m reasonably sure it’s not just the same one or two over and over. the videos I’ve seen shows these guys can REALLY get moving. and when they turn there’s a fair amount of lean (though obviously not as much as you’d get on a true motorcycle) which shows it handles closer to a motorcycle than your average cage. as far as ski-dos or snowmobiles…I don’t have any experience with them so I wouldn’t know. I DO know they look like a hell of a lot of fun!

I see 2 people riding together all the time around where I live and this weekend there was a group of 6 or 7 together. Very interesting, not sure I would ever want one, but interesting none the less.

I sat on one this past weekend. It seems like it has pretty good suspension. It should be really comfortable to ride on. It has a paddle shifter on the left hand grip. no clutch. The guy said that you could get them with a clutch though. It only has one brake and that is a pedal brake. It is a combination job, so it works front and rear, but I think I would prefer a brake lever. The thing has a reverse. It is a necessity as you couldn’t back it up otherwise. It has a trunk up front that is large enough to carry a jacket, pants, boots, and a helmet. The guy told me it was 16k. I said, “whoa!” He misunderstood, “I know, cheap, right?”

I really felt like I was on a four wheeler.
