big_mike_601Participantjust called shop they said it could be at most 750 to fix but they wont know until they take it apart
big_mike_601Participantbig_mike_601Participantyeah i think you should keep the car. i was faced with the same decision and if this is your first bike…well from what most people say you are bound to crash sooner or later and when that happens you will love your car. There IS one thing that they didn’t mention. What if you happen to go to a bad neighborhood or a rough part of the city i would feel much safer in a car than on a bike. well i don’t know how it is where you are but i’m from jackson ms and its pretty bad around here. and my safety and my bikes safety is my first concern that is when i get one. I don’t even want to keep it at my apartment. its been broken into once and the way things are around here any thing can happen…so back to the subject. i just got my car fixed and decided to save even for a a bike until it was working properly. I was gonna sell it so i could afford my first bike but changed my mind….so i hope this will help and anyways its always better to have two rides than one…GOOD LUCK!!!
big_mike_601ParticipantThanks again for taking time out to post your thoughts…and i appreciate all the input by the way i just want to say that this is a great site with lots of info. Well as you can see i’m very excited about my first by and i just want to make sure i’m doing things the right way.
big_mike_601ParticipantThanks two you both…your information has been very helpful…and i will keep all this in mind when i make my final decision which will probably be the ninja…o yeah i forgot.. i got a quote for insurance and it was very cheap…but later when i read some more information on this site someone said they had medical expenses added to their insurance…would that come with a standard quote or do you have to add it.
