ParticipantWhen I get my ninja 250 I want to put a slip on carbon yoshi pipe. Thats about it. I don’t know enough about the goodies I can get yet…ha theres always time for toys.

ParticipantOk, so a helmet, jacket, gloves, and sturdy riding footwear are pretty easy but how often do you wear protective pants? To me they seem like the most likely to get left out.

ParticipantHe has some good videos up on youtube. He is a goofball, which makes it fun to watch.

ParticipantUntil then I am not closing the case on which bike I will start with. I feel like right now all I have is ideas and research and so after being on a bike and taking the classes I will be much more informed.
I live in Santa Barbara CA, and so with 90,000 people there isn’t any real issue with heavy traffic (until I venture into LA). Im in my last year of college and it is a perfect time to have a bike. I have a lot of time to practice, a lot of nice roads to practice on (and big parking lots), and a whole lot of patience and caution. So if after the class I am really feeling confident then I might consider a “heavy bike” but there’s no chance in hell Ill go near a 600cc sportbike as a first bike.
Why did you pick a Harley or lets say a V-star custom 650?Stumpyjay
Participantthe Night train a lot but if I’ve learned anything from this site its that a 250cc is a great idea for a first bike. After I take the MSF course in March I am going to get a ninja 250 but man the Iron made me think twice.

ParticipantThis is the type of thing that makes me lean towards starting on a ninja 250… I don’t know how much confidence I would have in a rebel.
