Thank you all, you have answered my doubts without question.
I think I may have been afraid of launching my bike and thus rolled too low on the RPM.
Plus, next time I will try and give the bike a little more time to warm up.
I was in a rush, and to be completely honest, even after the riding course, I am not nearly
confident enough in my skills as of yet.
However, the 695 has been very forgiving, though it is more power than I can fully handle as of yet.

I will definitely give myself more room and time to practice.
Thanks all for your support and great input.

The HJC and Icon fit a bit loose, however last night I tried keeping the helmet on
for about an hour, and it wasn’t so bad minus the fact that I was getting hot from wearing
it inside the house! Of course, I flipped the visor up and the heat dissipated as wel. :D

I think the size will fit nicely once I break them in, I suppose I was just a little anxious
from picking up my first helmet!

    Thanks everyone :)

I see, well I called the dealer to ask about the issue and he also said that it is most likely
because it hasn’t been broken in yet but offered that he could see if there was a problem
if I came back in with it.

It’ll be a hassle to go back for me right now, so I’ll try wearing it in and if that doesn’t work
I’ll definitely take it back. He does tell me there are pads to switch out, but only for the cheeks…

Hopefully, the padding will flatten out a bit?

Thanks for the great advice, the Xena alarm looks perfect.
Any ideas on what brand is good for a lock that pages you when someone
    tampers with your bike?

Also, what do you mean “own ignition kill switch”?

Well, I have considered it, but getting a whole new set of “waterproof” gear
plus the idea of having my bike sopping wet
fear of losing traction from hydro planing
and worst of all the terrible driving abilities of the locals…
I’m just not so sure I want to place myself through the “Gauntlet”

But maybe you could fill me in on your rain riding experience?

I’ve also thought about maybe getting armor, then wearing light jackets over top?
    Which is more practical/effective?

Jackets/pants that come with padding and armor? (leather of course)
    or
Armor underneath and light textiles/leather jackets, leather pants/jeans over padding?

a fickle word indeed, i was wondering if someone would comment on that just as I typed it :)
I agree with you though, I don’t consider myself at all “Safe” even with armor jacket etc.
However, I want to make sure I’m as… prepared as I can be?

I suppose that would have been a better choice of words.

The only problem I have with Bohn Armor is that it seems like a body suit and I need to be able to
remove the armor after the ride since I’ll be riding to work.
Having to take off that suit every time will be a lot of hassle and that’s why i’m a little bit
    hesitant with the Bohn..
