I live in a border town and the auto/motorcycle theft rate here is just crazy. I have a wheel lock on my GS500F but I know that if they want the bike enough they will get it. I know of two people that have had thier ride stolen in the last year.
I agree with Ben that if you worry too much you won’t be able to enjoy the bike but damn it hurts to think of these peckrwoods enjoying my bike.

I have the GS500F and I was also looking into perhaps replacing the back tire with a wider one. Let me know if you’ve done it and how it’s working. Thanks.

How come nobody mentioned HJC? Reasonably priced, cool graphics, and great fit.
