Wow, that is an awesome site! I wish I would have known about it before I took the course! Thanks a lot, this will definitely come in handy!

It was the naked FZ6. I saw the FZ6R’s but didn’t sit on one… :( I assumed it would sit like any of the other super sports, which I don’t really like the way they feel.

Lots of people have said that I’ll want to move up from a 250 right away. I actually don’t mind if I have to do that. It’ll mean that I’ve mastered the lowest level and actually want to get something bigger/faster/more powerful. I’m totally cool with that.

Plus I only have about 1500-2000 bucks to spend, so I can get a 05-07 ninja 250 for that.

A couple weeks ago I signed up for first session in April at the local community college here in St. Louis, MO. Now most of the seats are taken for the summer and my class is full. I’d say you’re correct, they’ll probably be totally booked by mid-March.

I found another small dealer near me that has a 2006 ninja 250, so hopefully I can go there next weekend and see how it fits. Where did you buy the adjustable footpegs? I’m having a hard time finding them online. Do they make them for the older ninja’s as well? Thanks.

Thanks for the help. Honestly I would love to learn to ride on a dirt bike and then move up to the street, but I just don’t have the ability to do that. None of my friends ride motorcycles and the closest trails from st louis are around 2 hours away.

So I’ll see what kind of money I’m getting back this year and I’ll trash the idea of the 1980’s bikes. I just found a motorcycle shop near me that has lots of different bikes to sit on, so I’ll see what fits me and go from there.

Thanks for the tips. I know there are older ninja 250’s for sale in my area on craigslist and they’re usually within my price range. I’ve always heard that the 250 would be too small for me, but obviously if there are people my height riding them then that’s not the case.
